Starlight Glimmer is transported to the distant future against her will. She discovers an Equestria she helped create that is both amazing and sickening. It turns out this utopia has a deadly problem that only she can fix.

Community service isn't exactly fun. Sunset Shimmer is learning that the hard way—especially when Saffron Masala keeps cooking extra meals that their soup kitchen couldn't pay people to eat. It's not fun, it's not worth it, and it's never ever ever going to change. And... for some reason, it seems Saffron's okay with that.

Now, six Wednesday nights out from the disastrous Fall Formal, Sunset decides that she might as well ask Saffron why.

Sunset Shimmer once had a friend that she did everything with even when she was the pupil of Princess Celestia. However, when she ran away, she said hurtful things to her which Sunset regretted ever since. Maybe the human counterpart can help?

It was not that long ago that Sunset Shimmer was crowned a new princess of Equestria. Her mentor, Princess Celestia believes she is ready to be a leader and has proven on multiple occasions she is the true Princess of Friendship. Sunset is quite unsure herself but with her friends alongside her, she's sure she will prevail.

Wow, I got featured again! Featured 6/27/2021

My story has now been judged for the contest and ranked so I’ve turned off comments now. I’m not interested in having to listen to more drama. This story will be continued with better explanation to it then this one-shot because I see it’s problems and I think it deserves better but that’s about it. Please respect my decision.

This story is a sequel to Not That, Twilight!

The Princess of The Sun may be loved and respected, but that doesn't mean she was treated as equal amongst ponykind. Every year when Hearts Warming Eve arrives, all Celestia can do is watch ponies laugh, exchange gifts, build snow ponies, and sing carols together from her window. She wishes she can join them, but ponies will likely get all awkward if she came by just to say hello. She gets only one present from Cadence.

This year though, her student changed things a lot.

There was an angel only two lockers down that Muffins never noticed. Now that she had she couldn’t take her eyes away. She felt weird, and scared just being near her. What should she do? What was that feeling? Maybe angel magic? Muffins asks her friends Lyra and Bon Bon to help figure it out.

I kept her name Muffins because that’s what she’s listed as in Equestria Girls. I know she’s Derpy, you know she’s Derpy, but in that world she’s Muffins.

The summer after their first year of college, Sunset and Twilight are living a happy life together. Twilight has moved in to Sunset's surprisingly spacious apartment, and, for the first time in her life, is sharing a bed with another human being (well, unicorn-turned-human, but close enough). And despite some initial misgivings, life with her longtime friend-turned-girlfriend has proven to be a rather easy adjustment.

But both Sunset and Twilight, with quite a few stressful memories apiece, are prone to some bad nights of sleep. And when Twilight finds herself suddenly awake in the wee hours of the morning, her bedmate clearly distressed and in the grip of a nightmare, she knows what she has to do, what she and Sunset have so often done for each other:

Cuddle.
