And that reality is the ES Harmony, the pride of its designer, Princess Twilight Sparkle, and Equestria's first FTL capable starship. It is due to make its maiden voyage to travel further than anypony before it.

And yet when they receive a distress call from origins unknown, this ship's maiden voyage will become one the crew will never forget.

This story is set in the Ponies after People universe, crossing over with Jay911's stories "The Coming Storm" and "After The Storm". Rapid Transit and his family head up to Ponytown after winter breaks its hold on the frozen north, hopefully to help raid warehouses to help Ponytown get through future times. What they find upon arriving is something no pony ever expected to find there.

Major Hal Sleet helps Machspeed rescue an aircraft flying into Sydney by busting a Southerly Buster.

A Ponies After People tale, set in the 'Safe Landings' story line as started by Goldfur and the Sin Never Dies story line as started by Mixtape. Thanks to those two and to Starscribe, who started all this.

An ancient evil has awakened. No, really, it has. From the depths of time, a black, noxious threat has risen up after millennia of imprisonment. It washes like oil over Equestria, swallowing up towns and uncovering terrible secrets long buried. Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity are prepared to combat this great darkness. However, to do so, they must uncover the truths about the Elements of Harmony, and the truths about the ancient forerunners of Equestrian culture. What they find will challenge their conceptions of their own places in history and ponydom's place in the world. The six Bearers of the Elements must draw upon their friendship and the strength of their hearts to stand firm against the darkness. If they fail, it will mean the end of everything.

This is a story in response to a question I posted to Goldfur after his 'Seriously?' story, about the ARRRS rescuing a blimp. He didn't think he had the knowledge, so I took up the challenge.
The lead character is from an unpublished story set in Mixtape's 'Sin Never Dies' line. The character is mentioned very briefly in one of the published chapters.

So, how do you rescue an airship? It takes some knowledge, a teleporter, and a bunch of weights.

This is an official prequel to the Princess Twilight Sparkle's Birthday stories, created by Autumnschild. This story will develop and expand much of the world we made, but taking place 250 years before PTS500 and its sequel, PTS505. Due to its time gap and status as a prequel, you do not need to read the stories created by Autumnschild, and I have done my best to help that. However, knowing what happened in them will help you be a bit more aware of what is going on, and I encourage you to go read them for they are very enjoyable.
