It's been a month since the Mane 6, Derpy, and Spike started traveling with the Doctor. Things suddenly take a turn for the worse when a foil from Twilight's past mysteriously appears in the TARDIS and they all end up trapped in a seemingly-abandoned asteroid base that has a bad infestation.

The Doctor, Twilight, Derpy, and the others return to 1002 and arrive right in the middle of Canterlot a mere five minutes after their original departure. They arrive to find a troubled pair of alicorn sisters and an eccentric stallion who knows the Doctor well. However, they also come across a Dalek who has named Princess Luna as its next target.

Discord lounges around Canterlot Castle without a thing to do. A reformed life has taken every surprise out of life. Until Celestia drops the bomb on him: He has a daughter. And what's more is that Celestia wants him to reunite with her with Twilight's help.

Donnie! What the shell did that thing do to us!? Where are we!?

I-I don't know! That wasn't supposed to happen! It must've malfunctioned!

A/N: Just to be clear, this isn't an 'I'm immortal, kill self', fic, nor is it yet another conventional 'Tyrannestia' fic. While the story brushes with both those tropes - the first merely in passing, and the second more heavily - I've put a lot of effort into portraying these ideas from a new angle. Twilight had always been a diligent researcher. She would routinely pour over every book she had at her disposal in preparation for every royal assignment. Except, sometimes books can only teach one so much. With this heretical idea in mind, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash decide to take it upon themselves to make sure Twilight keeps her wings clean, and doesn't embarrass herself in the sky.

Discord, the spirit of Chaos was given redemption by Princess Celestia when discovering the magic of friendship. However, his true nature gets the better of him, and once again he uses his power for his own will. The elements of Harmony are protected from him, but there was nothing saying that the element bearers couldn't be eliminated.

Realizing that Discord has no intention of stopping and has rendered the elements useless, Celestia and Luna must face Discord in a final showdown. His powers are too great for them to fight when they are in their current form, but perhaps two alicorns are not needed. Maybe only one.
