Celestia frees Discord from his statue prison, convinced that he is somehow behind Twilight Sparkle's grayed personality. Discord takes advantage of the situation to make the princess hate him, for reasons he hopes he'll never need to say.

(First ever attempt at writing a story other than class assignments. Let's see how it goes?)

A wondrous day rises for Ponyville.

But two ponies do not share the joy. Trapped as they are in their own circumstances, they try to hold to the only thing they have left, each other.

Note: This fic is based on the brief animatic we saw during the hiatus between seasons 4 and 5. It's not necessarily canon with the actual events of "Make New Friends but Keep the Discord." Thank you!

Yes, the season 5 animatic clip showed us that there will be a Smooze episode! And it also interestingly showed us that there will be a dance/gala episode coming up...and that Discord will be there in a tux and top hat (cue fangirling)...and that Celestia seems pretty happy to see him when he shows up This story is one little potential scenario for how Celestia and Discord's interactions together might go based on reading a lot into that look Celestia gives Discord when he walks in, the flowers from season 4 (of course), and the fact that I just think these two are such a compatible couple Enjoy, and thank you for reading!

We're so close to season 5! I don't know about you, but I'm going stir crazy!

Between when the girls flew up in a ball of rainbow magic to defeat Tirek and when they landed back in Ponyville at Twilight's new castle, Discord and Spike were just left on the sidelines at the Harmony Tree and didn't show up again until they popped out from behind Celestia, Luna and Cadance later back in Ponyville. This story explores what might have happened during that time gap, and especially how Discord's first contact with the princesses following his betrayal might have gone (spoiler: it's a teeny bit tense ).

Also explored is one random potential theory for Discord's unexpected compulsion to give Celestia flowers and wink at her in the middle of a throne room full of onlooking ponies. This theory happens to involve Cadance and demonstrates once and for all that the magic of love is not to be taken lightly.

Okay, so once upon a time there was an awesome draconequus who went around being blindingly awesome. One day, a pretty prissy pony princess showed up and was all "Ooh Discord, you're so manly and awesome and I'm so prissy and weak. Could you maybe save the world from an evil demigod bent on domination?" So I...I mean, he was all "whatever, babe" and he went off and beat down all the bad guys. And she was all "Ooh Discord, you're so awesome and manly and if you would just touch me I could die a happy mare." And I was all "Babe, I'll do more than that." And we...I mean, they started kissing, but the stupid lousy no-good evil demigod was all "Woah, Discord you're way too awesome for me man, I'm totally gonna kill your gf." And I was all "NNOOOOOOOO!" And she was all "NNNNOOOOOOOOO!" And he was all "DIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!" And then I threw myself in front of her...

This story is a sequel to Discord's First, Last and Only Friendship Report

Set in my "Next of Kin to Chaos" series, but no Star Trek knowledge is needed for this story. More or less direct sequel to "Discord's First, Last and Only Friendship Report", but not humor. Celestia summons Discord to explain himself regarding his ridiculous "friendship report", but the conversation quickly diverges. Discord wants to know what Celestia wanted to reform him for, and what he's expected to do. And Celestia wants to know why he decided to reform.

An unexpected turn of events have lead to Discord's freedom, but his plans are turned asunder when Twilight Sparkle accidentally badly injures him.

Vulnerable and weak, the spirit is taken in under the ever watchful, gentle and concerned eyes of Fluttershy. Through this time of healing, the pegasus discovers that there's more to this miscreant than meets the eye, and she's determined to prove it.

Through this process dark secrets are revealed, pain is revealed, and gradually a hidden side never seen of the draconequus, and Fluttershy struggles to push him and past friends back together.

Will she ultimately have an effect on his indifferent heart or this only another one of his dastardly plans?
