Twilight and her friends have saved Equestria from many foes and enemies, most recently a centaur named Tirek, but no pony was expecting the end to come so soon. No pony, except Celestia. Celestia not only knew about the end, but was planning it herself. Each badguy was chosen to distract Twilight and her friends until the final day, where moon and sun collide, night crumbles to the day, and Equestria will fall into eternal fire.

When Rainbow Dash learns that her number one fan is being abused, how far will she go to keep Scootaloo safe?

At her coronation after-party, Twilight gets a little freaked out at the prospect of growing into her new life, especially one specific aspect of it. She knows better than anyone that talking her problems over with a friend can help tremendously, but she doesn't have many friends with whom she'd be comfortable talking about this particular problem, let alone ones who would really understand what she's going through.

...unless she broadens her definition of "friend."

Spike was a loyal friend, assistant, and brother. After he was taken away by a freak accident, Twilight and her friends begin to fall apart.

Discord has lived for quite a long time. Centuries as a ruler, a millennium as a rock, years as a reformed draconequus, it all gets very tiring. A nap is exactly what he needs. But when you live forever, time loses its meaning, years pass in the blink of an eye, mortals come and go like mayflies. And that's fine.
After all, any being that is truly important will live forever. Discord would never associate with anything less.

Now has a sequel, One Year Later

After a vigorous day of organising and sending reports to Celestia, Twilight notices Spike is feeling a little ill. He slowly grows more and more cold, before finally falling into a coma that Twilight fears is her own fault.

Going to the Princesses for help, Twilight eventually is brought before an Elder Dragon and comes to the realisation that she may have failed as a caretaker, a friend and as an older sister.
