Hearts and Hooves Day is a sorry excuse for a holiday. Maybe it's the fact that most of her dates tend to get eaten by manticores, but Daring Do has long since given up on risen above any longing for romance.

But that doesn't mean she's not 100% okay with slinking into the Sugar Cloud Confectionery to hit up their sale on rainbow truffles. Hay no. This is her most important quest of the year.

Hopefully it doesn't end up like last Hearts and Hooves Day.

This story is a prequel to Seven Days in Sunny June, Book II

It's been nine years since Raspberry Beryl fled her hometown and the ponies who had her pegged as a monster. Nine years since she killed her abusive father in a blind panic. Nine years since she discovered the truth about her dark ancestry. A lot has changed in her life since that fateful day. She found friendship in Ponyville, helped save the world from a dark curse, and claimed her title as head of House Sombra, and Princess in pretense of the Crystal Empire.

Now, Raspberry Beryl finds herself returning to her hometown along with Princess Twilight Sparkle to make peace with her past. But something is wrong in Lonesome Dove. Strange events begin to unfold, ponies start disappearing without a trace, and Raspberry is suspect number one. To prove her innocence, Raspberry must get to the bottom of the dark events while facing the shadows of her past.

Octavia runs into a friend of Vinyl's after a frustrating concert with the orchestra. Through her, Octavia discovers that her music is still appreciated, and sometimes the biggest fans aren't in the target audience.

My contribution to the EFNW 2015 writing contest.

Vinyl Scratch and Octavia are a couple. Octavia is trying to make Vinyl more like her Canterlot friends, but Vinyl objects. They get in a huge fight and Vinyl leave for Manehatten. Octavia follows using the information she learned while with Vinyl. Octavia goes to Vinyl Scratch's favorite hangout and hears her sing a song.

Newly-together couple Vinyl Scratch and Octavia have just spent the night out on the town. Vinyl blasted their favourite nightclub with major wubbage while Octavia discovered a new drink at the bar. Now Vinyl has to escort home a marefriend more drunk than she's ever been, and in her intoxicated state, Octavia says just a little bit too much.

After a heavy night of drinking, most of which she can’t remember, Octavia awakens to a monstrous hangover. But even this isn’t enough to distract her from the obvious fact that Vinyl is acting… different. Kinder, sweeter, and much more considerate. Something happened last night, something that has clearly had a huge effect on Vinyl. But what could it possibly be?

Celestia has a dangerous creature held in the deepest of Canterlot's high-security dungeons. It can create ponies (with full backgrounds and histories) with it's strange and often-times prophetic powers. The Princess does her best to keep it under wraps, but its only a matter of time before it's "creativity" will get out of control.
