Some ponies are shy creatures, and try to get through life without getting noticed too much. Other ponies are massive, hulking brutes that make as much noise as possible.

The two are seldom related.

Rainbow Dash's first sonic rainboom makes headlines across Equestria. Every reporter is out to cover the story from their own angle. Sometimes they get it partly right.

She’s going down in history. Maybe.

After the massive Equestrian disaster. What was left of pony kind had to disperse from what they once called home, and thousands of pony refugees fight for food and resources. Simply because they are to afraid to venture out into the uncharted lands that they had considered to be violent and inhospitable.

Yet there are those who realize that there salvation might just come from what they had formerly had mistrusted. So lets follow briefly the story of two ponies who have endured trials and tribulations traveling far across the uncharted deserts south of Equestria.

Vinyl is in a tough spot. She's behind on rent, and Octavia is not going to pay for her, again. What makes matters even worse is she's doubled booked herself to play at two popular clubs. She has no way of meeting all her obligations. Not unless there were two of her.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but what happens when Vinyl actually gets to the mirror pool, and will she find what she think she will, or something very different?

After Applejack loses her family as the result of a fire, the farm pony goes into a deep depression. Because of her grief Applejack neglects taking care of the farm, which then goes to waste.

Seeing her sadness Applejack's friends feel bad for her but the farm pony interprets this as pity, thus shutting herself off from the rest of her friends.

However things go wrong when Applejack starts to hear the voices of her family talking to her. Was the fire an accident?
