After reading about Daring Do's failed attempt to secure an ancient artifact, Twilight and Rainbow Dash take it upon themselves to find it in her place. Unfortunately, not only do they find it, but by reading a passage from the book, Rainbow Dash accidentally unleashes a curse which causes everyone in Ponyville to speak in puns. This, of course, drives Twilight up the wall, especially since she's the only one who seems to notice.
Equestria stands on the brink of ruin. A necromancer has raised an army of the dead and is poised to plunge the world into darkness. Monsters and brigands roam freely across the land, preying upon the innocent.
Only one hope remains. Armed with swords, spells, snacks, and a bag of dice, five heroes band together to defeat the forces of evil… if their rolls are good enough.

In a fit of pique, Twilight summons the Cutie Mark Inspector to Ponyville to conduct a cutie mark review of the townsfolk. When it transpires that every pony has been interpreting their cutie marks wrong, Ponyville is thrown into chaos. Has Twilight bitten off more than she can chew?
Rarity likes to believe that her intellect, social grace, and etiquette can get her out of virtually any situation. Trees, however, are notoriously difficult to reason with -- as is the pony who stuck her in one.
So to get her out of this, she has logic, reason, magic, careful consideration of all available options, and her true best efforts going into solving the problem.
...it's going to be a long night.
