Rarity comes home for some alone time, but her younger sister is there, and has made quite the mess of her shop. Rarity teaches Sweetie Belle how to act creatively without being destructive.

Rarity has a headache. This will not do; Sweetie Belle has an audition for the school musical today, and she really wants her big sister to watch. Zecora could make a cure, but she's all out of the necessary tree bark.

Obviously, Sweetie Belle must journey deep into the Everfree Forest to fetch said bark. Will she prevail, or will she accidentally trip into poison joke?

While visiting Rarity, Sweetie Belle decides to commemorate their relationship with a drawing, but she doesn't want to make just any old drawing. She wants to make a masterpiece. The only problem is making it.

Sweetie Belle feels depressed. Not only does she have yet to get her cutie mark, but she can hardly do any magic! Yet her sister Rarity has a plan to help her with a little help of a certain newly minted Princess. Can Twilight Sparkle teach her magic or will it end in disaster?

These are the words echoing in a young silver filly's mind as she slowly exits the train to Canterlot and heads to the edge of the city, a sheer cliff-drop of hundreds of feet. Not expecting anypony to be watching, she looks down and releases a deep sigh, taking one hoof-step forward.

I have thrown my life away, and now I'll be the one to pay.

But maybe it'll take one compassionate filly from her life before to show her the way to the light.

Sweetie Belle isn't a little filly anymore. But Rarity still won't let her be independent in some aspects. So Sweetie Belle finally convinces Rarity to let her have a party at the boutique while she goes to the Gala. Everything seems perfect, but with every party there's always someone to crash it.

Inspiration is Rarity's Element, and Sweetie Belle her greatest achievement. But the filly has questions, ones that Rarity might not be able to answer on her own. What makes a pony? How can somepony know if they really are alive? Are they alive if they laugh and cry? Are they alive if they think, if they make mistakes and have ideas?

If Sweetie Belle is nothing more than a collection of wires, is she truly alive?
