Twilight Sparkle begins school in Ponyville. After things don't go as well as expected, she decides there is only one thing to do: get her cutie mark. Maybe she can get some other ponies to help her. After all, some things are more fun with friends, right?

After Big Macintosh helps the Mane Six out of a jam, he finds his ordinary life of
peaceful routine thoroughly disrupted by the various misadventures those crazy
ponies always seem to get themselves into.

After discovering everypony is hiding from a mysterious visitor from The Everfree Forest, Shining Armor tries to get to the truth... or he would if certain fillies had not run off to get into who knows what.

This is a short side-story to my good friend Surry's story, Princess Luna's Far-Out Casks And Clovers Day. I wrote this with explicit permission from him.

Twilight's slight miscalculation with the Elements of Harmony land her and Rarity in a telepathic funk. But when Princess Celestia goes missing, it looks like having a window into each other's minds is going to be the least of their problems. The Mane Six will find themselves everywhere from Equestria's capital, to the home of the sea ponies, to a battle on the ocean for the fate of the world - all in this long adventure with more innuendo than you can shake your plot at. After Celestia advises her to spend more time engaging with other ponies in her role as a princess, Twilight Sparkle decides to make educational videos for young colts and fillies. Unfortunately, her intentions and her emotions may be working at cross purposes. Questionable editorial judgment ensues.

During her studies in the Canterlot archives, Twilight Sparkle makes a startling discovery - Star Swirl the Bearded, the most famous unicorn in Equestrian history, had a son! Tracing the family line down the centuries, Twilight is ecstatic to discover a direct descendant of Star Swirl is still living today. She sets out to meet this "Beatrix Lulamoon", who surely is a great and powerful unicorn worthy of her heritage with a wealth of ancestral knowledge to share... isn't she?

Twilight's dreams have been very odd lately. She's found herself wandering Canterlot Castle in the dead of night, unsure of why she's there or what could have brought her there. But all she knows is that each night the dream progresses even further, and each time she uncovers something more about the mysterious and hidden things inside of the castle. But the dreams leave her with more questions than answers.

What do these dreams mean? Why is there always the feeling of someone watching her? And what do they want with Twilight?

Sometimes I just hated going to school with all of those stupid foals. None of them were as pretty or awesome as I was back then. They all thought that I was really mean to them, but what did they know?

At least, that's what I thought at the time. One day I had to have a talk with Ms. Cheerilee about it, and I didn't like what she had to say...

Twilight Sparkle is seen as a hero to all the ponies of Equestria. She not only stopped Nightmare Moon, but she also aided in sealing Discord and helped in preventing a changeling invasion. She however doesn't see herself as a hero, for all of her achievement she had to depend on the powers of others. Just once she would like to know that she can protect her friends herself, and not be the one that always needs saving.

During the first day of her one year leave to return to Canterlot, a strange meeting with Princess Luna opens the door to a great mystery, and a chance to gain the strength she desires. There's only one catch. This strength she can only attain with the help of Princess Luna, who also requires her help in protecting Equestria.

Twilight just has one question. Why does Luna keep calling her "Master"?
