Friendship is a fickle thing. It is something that can't be predicted much like love, but this isn't a love story. This is a story about how two unlikely ponies became the best of friend and then became the worst of enemies. This is how Cadence and Chrysalis first met and how though very unlikely became the best of friends. This is also about how one misunderstanding can turn a once strong friendship into mere shambles of what it once was. The story of Chrysalis and Cadence: two of the best friends there could have been, and the worst enemies that could have ever existed.

This is just a little idea (little being the key word) I came up with during an unexpected hiatus I took. As soon as I was able, I put fingers to keyboard and wrote the story.

I love to steal. The thrill of the theft, the shivers that go down my spine when I pilfer someone's valuable or rare object... it's an adrenaline rush.

Back on Earth, my job was damn difficult. Laser tripwires, security cameras, alarm systems, and armed guards were just some of the things I had to deal with on an almost-daily basis if I wanted to make ends meet. Here in Equestria, though... it's almost as if they want me to steal from them. It's a cakewalk. Even with Fence taking a portion of the value when he sells my stolen goods, I'm still practically rolling in bits.

Surely nothing bad could come of this at all... right?

Abuse. Stress. Depression. Some of the nicest ponies in Equestria have experienced that. Their closest friends and family have ruined their life so much, the poor ponies don't know what to do anymore-mares and stallions alike. But now, the tables have turned. And the most innocent ponies are going in for the kill.

Long ago, there was a small family of earth ponies that traveled all of Equestria collecting and selling seeds. Applepie Smith was the youngest child, just a filly, living a hard life with her Pa, Ma, and her two brothers(Banjo Smith and Shoer Smith).

It wasn't the size of her family that was particularly exciting, her relatives were nothing more than ordinary, however she was the one who made their escapades absolutely adventerous. She was always documenting her jaunts through the wild, and the following stories are a day-by-day account of her life. She never enclosed the dates, and simply titled her life in accordance with the vents that occurred.

This is my first attempt at a fanfic story, so I'm really sorry if its less than perfect. I'm not the most creative person, so I've taken some of the small events from Granny Smith's presentation in the "Family Appreciation Day" episode.
