When the Great and Powerful Trixie manages to vanquish an Ursa Minor rampaging through Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle finds herself with a ruined reputation. And as Trixie continues to gain in popularity, Twilight finds herself more and more alone.

During her studies in the Canterlot archives, Twilight Sparkle makes a startling discovery - Star Swirl the Bearded, the most famous unicorn in Equestrian history, had a son! Tracing the family line down the centuries, Twilight is ecstatic to discover a direct descendant of Star Swirl is still living today. She sets out to meet this "Beatrix Lulamoon", who surely is a great and powerful unicorn worthy of her heritage with a wealth of ancestral knowledge to share... isn't she?

Trixie Lulamoon has been having strange dreams lately and has now caught notice of Princess Luna. While in the "dream" Luna and Trixie finds out there is something beyond their knowing and Trixie had this for some time now and she will control it before it controls her.

Well, almost everypony. High up in the white marbled walls of Canterlot, a storm of intrigue and political upheaval is stirring with the recent return of Princess Luna, and the boastful and flashy magician is about to be paid a disapproving visit by the one antagonist who can and will threaten to sever all links and ties to her life and place in Manehattan, and just may be the Elements of Harmony's most powerful adversary yet.

Funny how things turn out. Trixie, disgraced from both her failures in Ponyville, is a vagabond who finds solace in a bottle. Until one day, a griffon shows her the truth behind her lineage: The Lulamoon family were once proud demon hunters. And the griffon nation of Prussia is in bad need of a demon hunter.

One of their sacred castles, Fortnight, has fallen prey to an onslaught of demons. And as it turns out, Trixie's the only demon hunter left in the land of Equestria. Except for the part where she's not really a demon hunter.

As if a castle of horrors isn't bad enough, Trixie also has to put up with a mysterious girl haunting and fighting her every step of the way.

This is being written solely to learn more about action scenes, so please comment on what needs to be done better. It's also inspired by Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Rising, and Bayonetta. Expect references, both subtle and explicit.

As the time of heroes come to a close in my world I can feel the need for a hero in an alternate world. As for the hero in question well... can she live up to her self given title of The Great and Powerful?

In a world ruled by a Solar Empress, nine hundred years of forced peace under an Imperial caste system have led to decent in the hearts of ponies. A prophecy of the lunar monarch's return has brought forth a cult dedicated to the downfall of the solar dictator. For a thousand years the Solar Empress has known the key to victory is the Elements of Harmony. But with the banishment of her sister her connection to them was lost. So she has sought out those who could whiled them. Little does she know that as she moves to guide destiny there are those who move in the shadows trying to bring them under the sway of the moon.

With the world primed for war, unknowingly a Princess is sent to find her destiny. But when friends turn into foes and her world view is tested will she remain true to her Imperial mother or will she succumb to the darkness.

Trixie has finally rebuilt her life in the northern must parts of Equestria and is once again a popular show mare, but a dark stranger comes and offers Trixie a cryptic opportunity. Will Trixie forget all she has learned, and throw away everything she has worked so hard to reclaim for just one final chance at glory?
