Everypony knows the legend of the Mare in the Moon, but did you ever hear the tale of the night after? Not everypony knew her as the Nightmare she became, and even though many forget, even a wayward goddess was loved. This is the story of that love that lasted a thousand years of light.

Zecora has been missing for months and Fluttershy is starting to get worried over her striped friend. Against the advice of others, she sets off alone to Zecora's hut, deep within the Everfree forest.

Now join me readers, as we delve into the world of Equestria and and watch the friendship of these two mares grow into something much, so much more.

But what happens when their dark pasts are revealed and they learn that sometimes, you simply can't ignore the nightmares.

Everyone has an imaginary friend growing up: a stuffed animal, a companion to guard us when the monsters come knocking and the like. We know them and love them; they mean everything to us. But have we ever stopped to ask what we mean to them?

There is a world where Life and Death govern all imaginable realms. A world where Watchers guard over their planets and the creatures that roam them. In this world, a young soul goes on a journey to a place he never thought existed, after cutting an untold deal with Death.

Equestria, a place of magical creatures and mysteries, offers him a new chance at life. A chance he will have to pay dearly for. This is the written story of his adventures, some of the sorrows and victories of his life as he goes through great challenges and fights his inner darkness.

At the end of this journey, one begs the question: What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your evil side through great effort and sacrifice?
