The Great and Powerful Trixie has seen better days. She's barely able to make ends meet and is too prideful to accept help, which she debates she even deserves. Deciding that giving up just isn't her style, Trixie develops a cunning plan to return to the public eye and restore her fractured image.

A flash of inspiration provides her with the perfect opportunity. Take up the mantle of an already established hero, and then reveal yourself as having been them all along. Completely foolproof!

Trixie's pursuit of fame and fortune opens up a whole new world of problems for her however, and Shining Armor's meddling only complicates matters further. Just how long can Trixie keep her charade up? Is a travelling showmare all she's destined to be?

Sunset Shimmer finally had the guts to visit Equestria again. After having a quick chat with Twilight, they both decide to return to the human world together. Upon entering the portal, something goes wrong. They end up in an alternate human world where extreme street racing is the only way to make a name for oneself. The world is ruled by the Grand Champion, Torque, who will give any racer who defeats him rule over the world. Not surprisingly, everyone is racing for a chance to beat him. Twilight and Sunset Shimmer must find a way to gather their scattered friends and find out what the heck is going on. The thing is, Twilight and Sunset need to earn their respect first.

Now, thanks to a pair of meddling princesses, Rainbow Dash finds herself on a globe-trotting journey with the subject of her affections. On the surface, it might just seem like a simple task for the Princess, but for Rainbow Dash, it might be the very thing that forces her to come clean with her feelings, or forever face her doubts. For her, in the world of life and love, sometimes it's best to take it one dream and disaster at a time.

Four years ago, Shining Armor’s parents died in a horrific car accident, leaving him and his wife to take care of his little sister, Twilight Sparkle. There isn’t a thing that he wouldn’t do for her, yet there are times when it feels like there isn’t anything he can do for her. To him, the time she spent under his care has been nothing but a long string of him letting her down.

All things considered, it is understandable that she wouldn’t want to spend a day reserved for celebrating one’s parents with him.

After all, he is not Twilight’s father, and she’s not his daughter, right?

Fluttershy asks Rainbow to help her with pick-up lines because she likes her. Of course Fluttershy's going on Pinkie's advice, so it's really very wrong. But neither of them know it, and ignorance is bliss.

What will happen? Will the pick-up lines become more than just practice? Will Rainbow actually like Fluttershy back?

From birth, Fluttershy was hated by her mother. She was hidden from the world, abused, and had no hope. One day, after hearing laughter, she strains to see out of the single window in her room. She sees a girl her age with rainbow hair, and to her, it's the most beautiful thing in the world. They talk, but the noise alerts her mother, and she's beaten within an inch of death. As she lies in the hospital bed, hope is finally within reach.

Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle are Celestia's personal students. Will they take up the Elements of Harmony, or will their friendship fail the test? Hasbro own MLP:FiM. Please read, review and don't dislike without positive suggestions for improvement.

Sunset Shimmer has just graduated from Canterlot High School, and while that would normally be cause for celebration, it fills her only with a nameless dread as her friends begin to scatter to the winds to pursue their futures. With the latent magic of the human world contained and categorized and the Rainboom's idyllic days of schoolwork over, she finds herself without aim and listless, as though something important is missing from her life.

Fortunately for her, Princess Twilight Sparkle might know what ails her.

So. First time posting on the site after a VERY long period of lurking and reading and enjoying the tales this fandom can produce. To my surprise, I found a dearth of a certain subset of story that I wanted to read, and so I have done this, to put my thoughts to words. After all, it is said that one should write the story they want to read, yes? I've been inspired by a variety of stories like it that came before, and I hope to equal their quality.

I'll try to update roughly once every couple of weeks; please be patient with me and I hope you give this tale a once-over. Pre-emptively tagging with AU, that I might diverge freely from what may come if needed.
