It turns out that the magical land of Equestria is not a flat plane covered by a bowl of stars after all. This is big news to Queen Chrysalis. If the moon is actually a place, then she can travel there, claim its magical energies, and finally get revenge on Celestia, Twilight Sparkle, and everypony else.

Of course, there are problems. One problem is that everypony else is also rushing to get into space. Another problem is that Chrysalis really has no idea how to do it. Fortunately a certain earth pony with a taste for cherries is willing to help... provided she gets to fly the ship, and provided Chrysalis keeps the space program honest and open and legal.

Together, Chrysalis, Cherry Berry, and a horde of brave-but-dumb changelings will make world history... or, more likely, they'll make a lot of really big explosions.

It's the autumn of the girls' senior year, two (very eventful) years since the last time Sunset Shimmer had any aspirations at becoming Princess of the Fall Formal (and three years since she actually won). But it seems the title isn't done with her yet, as Trixie, taking a shot at winning the coveted crown, has now sought out her aid -- by asking her to be her date to the dance.

And, in a move that surprised even herself, Sunset said yes.

But as the two prepare to head to the dance, Sunset can't help but wonder if Trixie, whom she'd grown to consider a genuine friend in the months since the Memory Stone crisis, had more on her mind than Sunset's clout in asking for her hand at the dance -- and whether she herself might have any such feelings as well.

Sunset Shimmer has had a long year. Now Canterlot High School is taking a small break. Sunset wants one as well; because it's time to own up to some things, and to see if she can fix them.

The Dazzlings are broken. Aria is in retail, and went Goth. Sonata, of course, went to the Taco Hut. And Adagio?

Adagio lives with Sunset, in a small back room. Alone. Without friends.

Sunset needs some face time with the Princess of Frienship. But in Equestria...?

As a young teen, Princess Flurry Heart attained the power of a demon through a dark ritual! With this, she hopes to surpass the power of a princess! But what exactly is the nature of this power?

Twilight thought she was coming into her own as Princess of Equestria.

With each passing day, she grew more confident in herself, her choices, and her ability to rule. She even began holding her own court these days, and enjoyed hearing out problems and working on solutions for her subjects.

Yes, she really felt like she was getting a handle on it all, and could deal with just about anything her subjects and the position of princess could throw at her.

Then a little green filly waltzed in and threw her one heck of a curve ball.

"I believe Cozy Glow should be freed."

Excuse me, what?

Twilight had no idea what she was in for, and all the aspirin in Equestria wouldn't be enough to sooth the headaches to come.

Was there something in the Equestrian water supply that was turning cute fillies into devious little monsters, or is she just that unlucky? Well, at least this one didn't seem bent on world domination. At least, Twilight hopes she isn't. This green nightmare might be even harder to stop than Cozy Glow if she ever put her mind to it.

This is not a "Cozy did nothing wrong and the main cast is evil," fic. Just a little filly who may or may not be more than they seem offering a different perspective on the whole situation involving an evil little villainess and what is the best thing to do with her.

Celestia has a dangerous creature held in the deepest of Canterlot's high-security dungeons. It can create ponies (with full backgrounds and histories) with it's strange and often-times prophetic powers. The Princess does her best to keep it under wraps, but its only a matter of time before it's "creativity" will get out of control.

Late one night, several months after the events of the Fall Formal, Sunset calls Rarity at a frankly unreasonable hour. Things go from there.

(This was originally a standalone one-off thing. The list of sequels is starting to get lengthy, so I decided to compile them all together as one thing for neatness's sake. At this point it's become a proper-ish story.)

It's not like the movies. Not every relationship is a perfect, happy ending. In fact, most are not, but Sonata didn't know that.

Now she does. And for the first time, Sonata's heart broke.

The worst thing is?

She has only herself to blame.
