Something about Lightning Dust just seemed a little 'off'. Sometimes she didn't react the right way to the world around her, and sometimes the way she reacted was positively frightening... but it wasn't until she laughed off nearly killing a couple of ponies that anypony actually realized just how messed up she was.

Cover art is by the amazing and godlike Conicer.

*Not a gluefic.

Everyone has their dark secrets or obsessions that they keep from the world, afraid that if anyone were to find out that they would be condemned and damned by society.

But what if your dark secret was one that involved taking lives?

Say hello to Twilight Sparkle, Equestria's favorite serial killer. Living by the code that her mentor devised for her, she takes the lives of those that destroy others and takes care of any who falls through the cracks of the justice system.

Life is good and it couldn't be better, at least until she is sent to Ponyville in an attempt for a normal life. She will make friends, enemies, and possibly find one that she may care for while satiating her dark urges.

But can she maintain a normal life without revealing her true nature? Or will she be caught and destroy the ones she will come to care about?

Can she have it all?

An adaptation of the Showtime Series 'Dexter'. Rated T for moderate language, violence and description, and some sexual themes

[Originally planned to be a longer fic. I might return to this and continue it beyond just a one-shot in future.]

Being the Element of Magic isn't all fun and games like most might think. It seems to carry with it an unexpected price or at least that is what Twilight thinks is the cause of her growing issue. She is finding herself as desperate for new magic as someone lost in the desert would be for water and this growing hunger isn't going away. The more new things she learns the worse it gets. She needs help before she completely gives into this hunger and begins to do anything just for new magic.

After Trixie's second humiliation at the hooves of Twilight Sparkle, she once more went into self-imposed exile. Given her enslavement of Ponyville, Celestia has reservations about letting the charlatan unicorn go, but Twilight assures her mentor that Trixie has learned her lesson in the power of friendship.

Twilight is wrong. When Trixie returns, it will not be about how magic should be used or about amulets. It's about having nothing to lose and survival, and only one of the unicorns--Twilight or Trixie--is walking away from this one.
