It’s been seven years since the great massacre, and ponies are still trying to cope in the aftermath. Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, and her friends (minus one obvious apple) are preparing for the annual memorial, when an unexpected castle guest threatens to disrupt the peace in Ponyville forever.

She’s determined to make things better with Rarity after a friendship-splintering fight, but there might not be a solution for the troubles she finds once inside the house. Didn’t anypony tell her it’s not safe to venture out alone at night?

Things aren't going well for Twilight. Celestia seems to be upset with her, things are starting to make less sense, and she keeps seeing that face in the mirror.

Granny Smith nurses an ailment one night, and meets somepony from her past better left forgotten. But the pony in question will not be chased off and his deal will not be denied. For honor, for love, for the soul of the Apples.

Rainbow Dash's father writes the most important letter of his life.

Rainbow Dash absolutely loves the Daring Do series, and she's aware that other ponies have written their own Daring Do stories. Once Rainbow Dash had finished the series, she needed something else to read. Perhaps some of the many fanfictions out there would be a good read, right?
