The way others perceive us can affect how we perceive ourselves, and the results are rarely pretty. When a couple of Canterlot ponies from her past come to Ponyville, Twilight has a difficult time revisiting a traumatic event from her foalhood.

When I started writing fanfics I thought that I would turn out to be a novice writer, I had expected very few views, a few thumbs down, and no favorites. I finished writing the story at 1:43am and published it a minute later, when I woke up I had not expected anything, I went to fimfiction.net to see if any stories I was reading had updates. What I found was 97 viewers, 12 thumbs up, 11 notifications, 5 favorites, 3 comments, 1 offer to pre-read, 1 watcher, and 0 thumbs down. You are all amazing and although I already was planning to write the next story no matter how bad this story did, but after seeing the support that all of you give me I am more inspired to write than ever. Thank You and from here on I am dedicating all my stories to you, my wonderful readers.

Scootaloo is called into the office for the fourth time in half as many weeks. Miss Cheerilee's student has, out of nowhere, become something of a minor delinquent, and the teacher knows there's something wrong - but, unless Scootaloo decides to cooperate, she may find out that some ponies really do want to "take care of themselves."

It's common knowledge that Discord conquered Ponyville and cast his unique brand of magic over the residents. After his defeat, Twilight and Celestia set up counseling services for the ponies who remembered what it was like to be under his control. For Cheerilee, it may not be enough.

A Cutie Mark is meant to represent the personality and special talent of each pony that has one. Cheerilee's flowers symbolize her desire to help her students bloom, and the smiles represent the cheer that she hopes to bring to their lives.

At least...that's what she tells everypony who asks.

Diamond Tiara's father, Filthy Rich, has been abusing her for several years of her life. While Diamond Tiara stayed quiet about it, one of his servants finally gave in and reported it to the Equestrian Foal Protective Services.

Now Diamond Tiara has been taken from her father and is assigned to live with the only family in the area that could legally take them in: the Apple Family.

Now Diamond Tiara is being forced to confront the reality of exactly what she believes about the apples, as well as confront her past.

It's time to see where the diamond lies within the apple trees.

Before Babs went back to Manehatten she told Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon that she would tell their parent about their attitudes, but what if only one had a mother? What if Diamond Tiara only had one living parent? What happened after she fell into the mud with that sentence hanging in her ears? Let’s find out.

This story was written because of a bet between a friend and me. He didn’t believe that I could write a sad story following parameters.
1. I had to make short repetitive lines.
2. Story needed to be written in present tense from the main characters point of view.
3. A song needed to be added (I really hated this one)
4. It couldn’t be too descriptive yet it needed to be interesting. (hope I succeeded in this one)

Starlight Glimmer should be happy. She has been forgiven for her past misdeeds, and has a promising future as a student to the Princess of Friendship.

But, she's not.

Despite her efforts to hide it, Starlight feels that she has been forgiven too easily. She shouldn't be forgiven at all.

While reflecting on these feelings, and deciding whether or not to tell somepony about them, Starlight recieves a visit from a filly that once trotted a similar path. And this visit, will teach Starlight a powerful lesson about forgiveness, and atonement.

If that gem even exists at all.

But raising a child isn't as simple as working out a business deal or solving a financial issue, and Filthy Rich must relearn what it means to be a parent if he ever has a hope of redeeming his daughter.
For the price of an innocent foal's tears is more than even he can afford.
