Few weather conditions are quite so perilous as a raging snowstorm and even Rainbow Dash herself must admit defeat in the face of its might. Taking refuge with you in your home, the evening is spent sharing drinks and talking about some of the world's most important matters.

A very early piece of writing from the AiE threads (they might still have been Rainbro, at the time). I sat down one winter evening and wrote this with no real purpose for it save to elicit some warm feelings.
As with all of them, it's second person with you as Anon, a human.

I'm not terribly proud of this, given its age and quality but it's something to get the ball rolling here.

During the last Winter Wrap-Up in Ponyville, you were given the job of making sure that the cauldrons used to melt the snow - so that the water could be reused - were stocked with wood. It was tedious and backbreaking work, which you loathed every second of — and now they want you to do it all over again.

Good thing you expected this, and spent the necessary time preparing.

This year, you are going to show these ponies the proper way to heat stuff up...

Three days since something terrible happened.

Three days since a Pony was declared dead.

Three days since everything changed.

What happened?

A very short story written to get the idea out of my head.

Sweet Biscuit may or may not have a slight cookie addiction. She also may or may not break into Anon’s house to steal his cookie jar. Again. Or maybe it’s just because she misses him.

Either way, they're happy enough to see each other again.

... Though that doesn't mean Anon won't lose a sweet or two in the process.

There's really no way to prevent it. No matter how careful you are, regardless of one's dedication to personal cleanliness, they're going to get in eventually. And for most ponies, it's a moment of deep gross-out, followed by scrubbing down their entire pantry, kicking out far too much of what's in it, and ending with a regretfully expensive shopping trip to replace what was lost.

But this is Rarity. The situation was unacceptable. And her intention was to take out the problem at the source.

Now if she can just find a way of explaining that to the jury...

'R' and 'E' are right next to one another on keyboards, so I dismissed 'Mareiott' as a typo and booked my hotel room online. It was only after I found a pony waiting for me at the airport that I realized it was, instead, a horrible pun. Now I'm stuck in a horsey hotel for a week while attending a major trade fair on behalf of my employer.

Cliff, being a man of science, is busily working on a method of returning home.

But he also has a side project he tinkers with whenever he's not working on that, and today seems as good a day as any to give the thing a proper field test!

Anon doesn't like Rarity, he just thinks about her a lot, is all. And that's only because he's worried he won't be able to repay her generosity at this festive time of year on account of his rather dire financial straits.

Following a pep talk - and a volley of snowballs - he decides to take a punt on making a meal for her.
