Midnight has just returned from a week of leave from Luna’s day guard. A week she spent trying to give love one more chance, only to meet failure after failure. Only a small number of bat ponies remained in Equestria after the disaster of Nightmare Moon. The majority fled, not trusting the nation after being betrayed by their own Princess. Basically this story is a mix between Castle Mane-ia and Bats!, but with a dark and interesting twist. Join Twilight and her friends as they brave the thousand-year-old castle and unearth its ancient mysteries while escaping a sinister, unknown threat. Will the ponies be able to escape the clutches of darkness? Or will they be morphed into a shadow of their former selves?

Vinyl Scratch is fast becoming one of the more popular musicians on the scene. Finding this odd, the Royal Guard sends Angel Grace to investigate the unicorn and determine if she is using hypnosis to boost her popularity. She was prepared for nearly anything, but the truth behind the DJs rise to fame turns out to be more surprising than she thought.

This was initially a quickie I wrote for fun, but it turned out better than I thought it would. It's still unedited, so I may come back some time and clean it up a bit more.
