This story is a sequel to Things Are Rarely as They Seem

Featured 1/22/2017

Much has changed, both figuratively and literally, since the changeling Habeas Brittle and the pony Prunus Persica saw past their differences and found something truly dear in one another. But as some time goes by and their affinity for the other reaches its apex, they find the unexpected and unpredictable has not yet abandoned their worries.

Both turn their gazes toward the unforeseeable future, tailed by dogged fear and angst, yet with hope still warm in their minds and hearts. And as fate would have it, they aren't the only ones who are discovering terrible troubles in dire need of being overcome.

A tough week for the Princess of Friendship has ended with an extended stay in Canterlot to repair broken friendships while also successfully getting Moondancer to embrace it again.

But as Twilight and Spike head home to settle in for a long night's rest, a sudden realization hits Twilight like a sack of hardcover books, leaving her utterly distraught and Spike as the only one capable of consoling her.

If he can, that is...

Being a princess is stressful, but your peers and friends can certainly help.

That was what Twilight had in mind when she invited Luna over for tea one afternoon. A relaxing, friendly meeting between two fellow princesses where they can commiserate and share their experiences. An invitation to a stronger friendship than they had before, offered to a pony displaced in time.

What she got was an uncomfortable assertion about her relationship with her number one assistant, Spike. One that she is having difficulty refuting.

We all know Rarity was not happy with Rainbow Dash after being left stranded in the desert with Pinkie Pie. So how exactly did things go when they returned home?

I admit, this isn't exactly a style of story I'm USED to writing, but hope it turned out okay!

Now that the Pony of Shadows has been defeated, everything seems just fine for Equestria, and Twilight is more than happy to move on from it. However, Princess Celestia has some rather choice words for her about just how the Pony of Shadows was released in the first place...

Takes place shortly after the events of "Shadow Play."

(Takes place directly after the events of "Parental Glideance". Proofread by Smity1038 on Deviantart.)

Bow Hot Hoof and Windy Whistles may have finally patched things up with their daughter, but Rainbow Dash isn't the only Wonderbolt who has some grievances to address with them.

Spitfire, the young Wonderbolts captain, decides she needs to address a few concerns she has with Dash's parents and their excessive fanpoyism. Both at shows and at events.

But Bow and Windy will be quite surprised not just at Spitfire's words, but at her own experiences. After all, this isn't the first time the Wonderbolts have dealt with a family problem.

Now has a reading on YouTube by Midnight29, which can be seen here.

A one shot AU fic for 'One Bad Apple'. Babs Seed did far worse things to the CMC than Diamond Tiara or Silver Spoon ever did. However, she gets away pretty much scot free. But what if some-pony had seen what was happening and decided to take matters into her own hooves? (Uncredited image, if yours let me know.)

Chapters (1)

What would happen if the Apple family found out the true actions of Babs Seed?
What would the reactions be when Rarity found out about Sweetie-Belle's tormentors?

NOTE: I am not happy with the editing of this one-shot. I have re-written it 4 times now, I know the flow is choppy and it feels rushed. I may one day come back to this and either re-write again, or expand it to a multi-chapter.

When a song doesn't help them see the light, what else can you do?

Print a second edition that calls them out for what they really are.

Twilight has let her anger get the best of her, and has called out her worst detractors for what they really are. But one fan shows her that her aim was not as precise as she thought, and those that took no sides paid the price for her negligence.

Whether they feel genuine care for their heroes, choose to show their upset in more mature ways, find inspiration, or find light after years of darkness, Twilight sees that the fans she'd thought so little of were more than she'd ever imagined.

Rated T for one slight hint at suicide.

I didn't write this for popularity. I wrote this as a metaphor to call people out. Just like they did.
Only I was more careful and actually cared. They didn't.

Spike the Dragon was curiously absent while the rest of his close pony friends were completely overrun by fans, haters, and critics of The Friendship Journal. Surely, some pony had to have commented on his written experiences, right?

Yes.

And that's the problem.

This is a fan's interpretation of an event that takes place shortly after the episode "Fame and Misfortune" (allegedly written by M.A. Larson, though he's on record saying that he doesn't like it).
One-shot.
