And all right before the Christmas Formal. This is a story about two friends. The struggle of hiding feelings and the discovery of them blossoming.

This story is a sequel to Epiphany

Twilight has come back to the human world to visit Sunset Shimmer after having been away for a few weeks attending to things in Equestria. However, it turns out that she is greeted by a very tired, worn out, and obviously sick Sunset Shimmer. Twilight mentions having found a book at the Canterlot High library and Sunset asks Twilight to read to her.

Wallflower Blush's Birthday is today, and she has nobody to celebrate it with. She's used to everyone completely forgetting about it really, so who cares if nobody's there to celebrate it. Then why does she feel so miserable, and what is Sunset doing here?

During Anon A Miss, Sunset doesn't think she has anyone on her side anymore. But at the Sweet Shoppe, she gets help from the Cakes. Especially when her 'friends' decide to confront her.

When the culprits of Anon-a-miss was uncovered, Sunset still does not want to forgive her friends, who have hurt her badly and wants to return to Equestria.

Her friends help her see that they still care and to convince her to stay.

I've been feeling empty lately. Not sad, not happy, just... empty. I fake a smile around the girls. I don't know if they notice.

There is something that ends the emptiness. I don't like it, but I'd rather feel pain than nothing. So long as the girls don't notice. I don't need that kind of attention, or worry.

Knowing that trying to convince her friends of her innocence is going to get her nowhere, she collapses beneath the overwhelming weight of it all, and in a last desperate attempt to gain her only friends back, she does the one thing that they promise her will gain them back. She confesses to being Anon-A-Miss

This story is a sequel to Rarity Visits Sunset Shimmer at 4 a.m.

After hitting her emotional limit and being pulled back from the brink by Rarity, Sunset Shimmer is slowly recovering from her breakdown. She's not back to her new-old self just yet, but she is making progress. Unfortunately, Flash Sentry heard half the story and is on the warpath to give his ex-girlfriend a piece of his mind. Rarity tries to keep him away, but fails. How much damage can one man scorned do? Does he even care?

This story is part of Sunset's Recovery Arc.
