This is the story of the end. This is the story of the death of Equestria. It is the story of the reign of her royal majesty, Princess Twilight Sparkle of the Fading Sun.

The alicorn sisters are dead and Equestria has turned to Twilight Sparkle to guide it. However, just maintaining a dim sun a fraction as bright as her mentor's keeps the new princess near her limits.

Years have passed and Twilight Sparkle is sure of only one thing. Equestria is dying.

NOTE: Written before "It's about Time" in season 2. Everything after "Read it and Weep" was ignored throughout this story.

Dave Smith, an unassuming firearm engineer signs up for a lucrative job, gets dumped in Equestria instead.

How far a pair of working hands and one semi-working head will get him? Nobody knows, but it's bound to get chaotic down the line.

Note: I try to do fair bit of research to make sure that what I write is in line with laws of physics and such.

It is 1918. The Allies have defeated the Central Powers and now US marines and US army troops are being sent to Germany for occupation duty. Among them are the men of B company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment. Gunnery Sergeant Nathan Blackburn has seen the war through from beginning to finish and is relieved it is over. But when a strange cloud transports him and his comrades to a strange new land where they themselves have taken on strange new appearances, Blackburn soon realizes that his fight is far from over.

January 15th, 2014. A veil of light spans across the United States of America. As the citizens stare in amazement at what is certainly a once in a lifetime phenomenon, the entire country is ripped physically out of its place on Earth and sent to a new world, a world known as Equus. Now with 312 million Humans and their country trapped in completely unknown territory with no way home, they must do what Humanity has done for centuries that has allowed it to become a force of nature. Adapt, Survive, and Overcome.

In this alternate universe of MLP, peace and prosperity are things of dreams. With King Sombra and Discord holding the reins of Equestria, they have driven the people to starvation and unrest. A rebellion group has been gathering to overthrow the kings but with their control, it has been difficult. The only hope they can find to take Sombra down is to steal the Alicorn Amulet from off his neck and to find what happened to the fabled alicorn princesses so they could use their powers to remove Discord from the throne.

All of those stories you've heard, exaggerated. All those statistics and graphs, faked. Propaganda. Delusions.

They didn't tell the real story, what it was actually like. So, I've decided to write this book to record some of the truths that have been... glossed over.

This is the untold story of the Conversion. The one they never wanted to acknowledge.

Shawn has been extremely happy ever since he somehow appeared in Equestria. Cannabis plants grow naturally in the Everfree Forest, and the joys of getting high have never been discovered by ponies. Without any laws prohibiting marijuana in Equestria, Shawn is able to relax and enjoy his stoner lifestyle in peace. At least until ponies start getting involved...

Twilight Sparkle decides to take a break from being co-ruler of Equestria, and travels through the portal to see Sunset Shimmer and her friends again. However, she finds the world that once was is gone. It is now a world of survival and insanity.

Sunset Shimmer, accompanied by her friend Thunder Bolt, has lived in this world for the past five years. Twilight must learn the new rules for survival if she hopes to make it back home.

This is a crossover with Mad Max: Fury Road, I'd recommend watching that movie before reading this. Otherwise, creative criticism is appreciated

Equestria was once a beautiful and vast empire that was in complete harmony. However, only a year after Twilight's crowning, the end begins. It's downfall starts with it's neighboring country, Terrestria, and it's own downfall and corruption. The country built large machines to fight in wars and battles, however the machines had minds of their own. Terrestria's machines crushed their own country, along with crossing the border, and defeating Equestria. Now with the once bountiful empire in ashes, a ragtag group of a single mother scientist, broken solider, single father griffin, crazy mare, and a normal everyday florist, have to work through the ashes to find a royal bunker that may not even exist. The story starts in the barren city of Manehattan, where the machines marched through and already killed all the living. Now the world is a war zone, filled with chaos, and killer, laser shooting war machines. No longer is it the age of harmony, now it's the Age of the Machine.

Equestria finds itself once more host to a human. This one is named Artyom, and he's a long way from home. A very long way. But he seeks a new life here. And while his heroic actions should speak for themselves, he would never be self-confident enough to believe it.

Spoilers for Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light. All knowledge and references come from the videogames, I will confess that I haven't gotten around to the book QUITE yet.
