For their first home together, Twilight and Applejack wanted a house close to Applejack's farm and big enough for Twilight's books, with a little something special besides. They settled on the perfect place, one of the oldest barns on Sweet Apple Acres, and had it converted into a comfortable house for their little family. But when strange things start happening just after they move in, Twilight finds that she has a mystery to solve before she can really call her dream house "home."

My entry into the TwiJack Hearth's Warming Contest.

The year nears its end, but the war seems to stretch on forever. General Winter has sided with Sombra, and morale runs low among most Equestrian forces. Hearth's Warming seems like a bitter joke.

But a mare has come to the front from Canterlot, and she's brought one Tartarus of a present.

For her first Hearth's Warming in Ponyville, Twilight wants to try a new tradition - carolling. Rainbow is a little less than eager. Can the two of them bring some festive cheer to the ponies around town, or will they be left out in the cold?

It's Hearth's Warming in Ponyville, and Pinkie Pie is pulling out all the stops to make sure that the party at Sugarcube Corner is the best ever. Unfortunately, the hectic touring schedule of the Wonderbolts means that Rainbow Dash might not be able to attend. Scootaloo, hoping to spend some precious holiday time with her friend, idol and adopted big sister, is left miserable by this news. Rainbow Dash wouldn't be Rainbow Dash, however, if she didn't have a surprise or two in store for her.

One year. It's been one year since a now reformed Diamond Tiara decided to become a better filly, but some things never change. Namely, yet another Hearth's Warming spent all by herself. Then, she hears a noise from the chimney....

It is Hearth's Warming Eve in Equestria, and the four princesses are having a private gift exchange for themselves. In what seems to be a spur of the moment decision, Princess Celestia gifts Twilight a nutcracker doll and tells her the Legend of the Nutcracker Prince, a story about a pegasus captain who was trapped in the form of a nutcracker doll.

Twilight initially dismisses such fanciful talk, but deep down, something about the story resonates with her. The doll intrigues her far more than a simple toy should, but when she falls asleep that Hearth's Warming Eve night, she awakens to find herself face to face with the very being she believed wasn't real, and now she must help him escape the curse. But there is far more to breaking the curse than she originally thought. But with this knowledge in mind, can she save the cursed stallion and return him to Equestria?

It's Hearth's Warming Eve and Fluttershy's gift from Aunt Luna is a nutcracker. Her aunt tells her that he is under a curse, cast by an evil monster called the Chaos King.

She doesn't believe her until night falls and the Chaos King comes with his army. Shrunk in the battle, Fluttershy must venture with the nutcracker into the Land of Sweets to defeat the Chaos King and break his evil spells.
