With a crumbling home almost ready to collapse on her, Moon Dancer had taken it upon herself to accept a magical surrogacy that would help pay for her living situation. What nobody could expect was how strong the surrogacy was and now, one month away from delivery, we have a look at what the typical day of a heavily gravid Moon Dancer is like.

Told from Sonata's point of view, this story sees her reflect upon herself and her sisters, and their life together. Sonata knows she's different, it's a part of her. Even so, she can't help who she is.

Twilight Sparkle always preferred to work alone. She looked at group projects with disdain and co-presentations with disgust. They were excuses for others to shove off their workload on her.

But Twilight Sparkle was also smart. And smart people knew when they had to overcome their personal feelings for the greater good of the world. Which meant that she had to ask Sunset Shimmer - the girl who had yelled at her and made her cry yesterday after the Tri-Cross Relay - for help figuring out how to use her thice-damned Amulet, lest she lose control of it and the inadvertently make the entire world explode in a spectacular burst of lava.

Okay, maybe she was overreacting a bit. And Sunset probably wasn't that bad of a person. That said, she would still have to share her Noble Prizes and recognition.

But it didn't really matter, because she wouldn't be around Sunset Shimmer around for long anyway. Just a few experiments here and there. Give it a couple of weeks and their partnership would be over. Right?

Sunset and SciTwi start out trying to figure out how the Amulet works and win a couple of Nobel Prizes, but they end up discovering a whole lot about themselves on the way there.

Tragedy shatters Sunset's world. Laced with guilt over what happened, she cuts herself off from her friends. A month almost passes by before she forces herself to leave her apartment in a halfhearted attempt at regaining some normalcy from the broken shards of her life. However, recovery isn't an easy process, and with each day that passes, her pain only intensifies. But as long as she puts on a smile and tells people what they want to hear, it doesn't matter whether or not she gets better. So long as no one else suffers because of her, that's all that's important, right?

On her way home one evening, Sunset Shimmer is jumped. Beaten and broken, she must now try and reintegrate back to her normal life, all while living under the constant fear her attackers will return to finish the job. As her mental condition worsens, it soon becomes apparent this is one problem that a blast of rainbow magic won’t solve...
