In theory, everything should be fine. At least, that’s what Twilight kept telling herself. The Fiducia Compelus episode was nothing more than a mistake, and once apologies were handed out tomorrow, everypony would be able to put it behind them. Everything was absolutely fine. 

Why, then, were there sobs coming from Starlight’s room?

Rainbow finds a trophy for a pony declared, "an honorary Wonderbolt". Curiosity getting the better of her, she asks about the pony.
She was greatly surprised to hear that, of all ponies, Derpy had gotten the honor, and respect, of the organization Rainbow idolized.

Written for The Wonderbolts Site Contest. I spent more time writing for the Sci-fi contest, with the goal of writing a one-shot for this one afterwards. In honor of it being a Speedwriting contest, I wrote it down over the course of two days and in under three hours total writing time. I hope you enjoy, and good luck to other contestants!

Seven months.

Then her father would return from his job and take her back to Cloudsdale.

To six year old Scootaloo it certainly seemed like a good deal; the Canterlot Orphanage had great food, warm rooms and lots of kids to play with. Sure, the mysterious director of the orphanage was rather big and funny-looking, but she was nice. And the cloaked ponies who stood guard at the gates every night were rather unnerving, but they did the kids no harm. Besides, Canterlot was a great city full of opportunities.

Sequel to "Be Right Back", and set in the same universe as my wildly popular, epic-length masterpiece Of The Last Millennium.

Eight years ago Rainbow promised never to tell let anypony know she had a child, it was better for everyone that way. Even when that child moved to ponyville. Even when that child wanted to be her little sister. Everypony knows that chasing daylight always ends in heartbreak.
