    Hi all!

I've already made the announcement in other places, so I figured I might as well do it here, too, to cement the change.

    Hiatus on Story + Thoughts

    Hi all!

Just letting you know this story will be hiatus'd for a bit.

Not because I'm not writing anymore, but because life got in the way so I wasn't able to finish it all in a fugue state as I wanted, and the reality is right now... I am not in the headspace necessary to write it.

Though, since I'm not doing that, I do at least want to talk about it.

    Okay, here we go.

As some folks may know or have seen, I'm currently working on a story that is very important to me. It is still not finished, and will likely be updating in the next following days because I want to write it and get it done in one go.

    Quick Note re: contacting me!

    Hi all!

    I hope you're doing well.

I've been meaning to say this for a while, but keep forgetting because my life has been a dumpster fire for the past year, but I did post a fic today so now's a good time as any!

Re-uploaded Someone To Hold On To as a complete oneshot

    Hello!

Just wanted to get ahead of any confusion for anyone following this story to say that I ended up doing a speedrun of the entire thing and then deleted the old chapters and just posted the entire complete story as a new chapter.

    That was it.

I hope you have been well!

ENCHANTED LIBRARY PHYSICAL COPY · 9:25am Apr 16th, 2017

Hi everyone!

I see folks usually do a small con recap blogpost thingy, so I'm doing one BECAUSE I'M A LOSER WHO WANTS TO BE COOL TOO IDK

Thing is, I won't do my con recap until a few days later. This one is mostly because I'm a loser and I want to share with you guys one of the most important things I've ever gotten, courtesy of the amazing Swansong.

IT'S ONLY ACT 1 & 2 AND ITS 800 EFFING PAGES OH MY GOD

And this was only the first part of it! The second part of the surprise was autograph voucher BECAUSE ALL MY PALS WANTED ME TO GO AND HAVE THE BOOK SIGNED BY TABITHA /AND/ TARA and obviously I said "lmao are you crazy they'll think I'm a weirdo" buuuuuuut...

I DID IT ANYWAY LMAO

The best part is they were both so SURPRISED AND IMPRESSED LMAO

I was like horribly nervous about it but they were both super nice and impressed by it, and it was really great and jjdjkdsjksdksj

anyway yeah that's basically all for today and the next few days. I'll post a proper recap version some other day, but i was just v excited about this so I wanted to share.

Atm I have five ponyfics in dead tree form, with a possible three more on the way. I treasure all of them, can't imagine what it's like to get your own story like that as a surprise. And it looks amazing! So many people are nervous when meeting show staff, they are always friendly and kind though. And I am sure they get asked to sign a lot of weird stuff. I bought an inflatable banana signed by Nicole Oliver (profits where for charity, so I had a 'why the heck not' moment). A book is a very normal thing to sign I would say.

So incredibly neat.

Wow that is AWESOME! And 800 pages? Wow. That is like, bigger than most Harry Potter books? *forgets their page count...* Very very amazing. As for getting it signed by such awesome ponies? Heh I'm jelly. But then they haven't made it to the con in my own state yet. So maybe one day. *crosses hooves* Can hardly wait to hear what other awesome things happen to you at the con! :pinkiehappy:

That's awesome! You must be so thrilled.

I'm not surprised that Tara and Tabetha was impressed by the book.

It looks freaking amazing.

Oh, that is just made of awesome!

TGM

Omg that is so awesome! So happy for you! :raritystarry:

There are no words to accurately describe how awesome that is.

So.... awesome.... I freakin' 'd'awwwwww'ed... loudly. Thank Luna I wasn't at work when I read this. I have the biggest grin on my face for you, Mono.

Very nice, congratulations!

That is awesome.

Well you've got roughly 250k words in the first two acts, my goodness it's a wonder it's not 1000 pages. You must have printed 300 words to a page. That would give you roughly 820 pages.

You must construct additional gosh. :D

Couldn't have happened to a better person. Congratulations and omg printing just a single book? That's expensive! xD
Getting your work in physical form of these two shipped ponies autographed by their show's VA's Tabitha and Tara? Fucking PRICELESS!

I bet you're freaking glad you stuck with writing this story past all those self-doubting moments now, huh? XD
Now maybe you can let yourself gloat more about how awesome people see your work as!

Anyhow, back into the shadows I go. One day I hope to add such a book next to my two other pony novels. When is book 2? I guess you're just gonna have to write a bit more to make that one come true! ;3

Aaaaaaaay! Very nice :D

Awesome stuff!

That cover art is super classy in dust jacket form.

Congrats mono, you deserve it!

Couldn't happen to a nicer person. congrats!

800 pages for two acts?!? That's insane !! Also, congratulations! You deserve a cookie c:

That looks fantastic

Did you tell them you want to make their characters kiss? :rainbowwild:

Purdy cool. The book looks great, I'm not surprised Tara and Tabitha were impressed by it.

If you ever wanted to sell printed copies of EL after whenever you finish it, I'm sure you'd have plenty of buyers!

That is totally awesome!

Now do BC.

Gosh!

And it was adorable.

Dancing in joy - for you and your baby :pinkiehappy:

looking at the cover make sme feel like when i was a kid, my first copy of harry potter and the sorcerers stone. lol well done!! i know a couple folks that would want a copy xD

It looks awesome!

I've been thinking of a printed version for awhile, but couldn't imagine reading it without Dark formatting. 800 pages of near solid black pages wouldn't be very cost effective either. It looks good here. It would be cool if there was a way to work the ciphers in naturally. Maybe glow in the dark ink or something.

That book is gorgeous. When can I buy a copy?:trixieshiftleft:

Also, it's incredibly awesome of everyone to do that for you. Glad you're having a good time. :pinkiehappy:

In a similar situation, I think I would have ended up walking up to them holding the book straight out and crying. I doubt I would be capable of speech. Hopefully I'd be smart enough to bring someone along to explain what I wanted. :twilightoops:

Ooooooooo.

Isn't that, like, author Nirvana right there? I am pretty sure that is what that is. :pinkiehappy:

Swan and company sure did the most impressive gift. Congratulations!

Oh my gosh, that's so cool! Congratulations!

HB

That's awesome! It looks great, congratulation!

Awesome, Mono! I am glad Tabatha and Tara signed your book ;3 and I am glad you have that book! It looks amazing!

That is all kinds of awesomeness!!!

AHHHHHH That's so ridiculously COOL! :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

Congrats, Mono!!!! Ahhhh, I want a copy!!!

They interviewed Tabitha a long time ago:

She said something to the effect of... "you need to figure out what you love, what truly makes you feel accomplished and happy and worthwhile, and you need to pursue it"

Ill see if I can find the interview recording and post it here.

This is so amazing! I need a copy too :raritywink:

I wish I had the talent to write something so good that someone puts it into a physical book.
Maybe one day...

Id buy a physical copy of this story when its doen if possible.

That right there is a special thing.

Legit question: Is there ANY way I can get a copy of the book?
