Okay, here we go. · 5:33am March 13th
As some folks may know or have seen, I'm currently working on a story that is very important to me. It is still not finished, and will likely be updating in the next following days because I want to write it and get it done in one go.
It's a story I have... tried to write many times before, but ironically I think it's only now that the Golden Age is gone, and the fandom is not what it used to be, especially here, that I was finally able to write it.
Anyway, I'll wax poetic about it later, and the story itself is going to get worse before it gets better (as all my stories do, this is basically my MO), but writing it has forced me to kind of examine my entire long journey here, and I have to keep thinking back to the Monochromatic who came here with no other intent than to write and share raritwi with the six people that made up the raritwi fandom ten years ago.

HELLO.
I have no idea how to use this thing other than to read and comment fics. Posting the first chapter of IE was such a hassle, whaaaaaaat.
Anyway, so yes, I just posted my first fic. Okay, well, my first MLP fic. I've written plenty of fics before, just not for this fandom. Let me tell you I had forgotten just how nerve-wracking it is to post something in a new fandom. Even as I write this, I feel like deleting and going back to being an anonymous user who re-reads the same four RariTwi fics every week. But then I saw that some people liked it, AND I WILL CONTINUE FOR THEM. WE WILL CLIMB THIS MOUNTAIN, BROS.
Gosh, I really like that gif.
Anyway, yeah, I will persevere.
My e-name is Crys so you can call me that if you so wish. I don't know if this is something I should be admitting, but the only fanfics I've read are basically all the fics that are in the biggest RariTwi group here, so most of my knowledge on MLP fics comes from there. That's actually another one of the reasons I forced myself to post the fic, seeing as there is so little raritwi stuff in the internet compared to most of the other mane six ships.
It's outrageous, I say! Outrageous!!
So, yeah, basically I am here to try and add more stuff to the rarilight pile of the internet. Well, add something productive instead of endless screeching and gifs in my Tumblr.

While I can right now say that, for the first time in a long time, that Mono is starting to re-emerge, I want to take this moment to say thanks to the people who have been here from the start, if any of you are even here still.
To the folks who read Injuring Eternity when it was published, and bodyguard au when it was just three little stories, and TEL when it was just a oneshot and not a series that kills me as much as it revives me, to those who saw my ups and downs as I navigated my life and my passion, and the meaning of being an artist.
Well, we fucking climbed that mountain BROS.

I'm looking up at the physical copies of Monologues and TEL as I type this, smiling. Now that this place has slowed down in the wake of G4, I've made a few changes/decisions, too. Oddly enough, just today as well. So many dumb little stories about dumb little ponies are joyful things that deserve to endure despite everything.
So glad to know you're enduring!

Still here, not going anywhere!
I can I wasn't here ate the start, I showed up when TEL was only half a finished fic and a one-shot and it was one of the few romance fics o enjoyed because it knew how to do romance right.
I've been lurking and watching and while I don't add most of your works to my library it's because I followed you so I could easily access your works, effectively adding you as a writer to a shelf for ease of access.
Sadly life has gotten chaotic and I don't habe as much time to read but I love seeing what you produce and create and I am glad to see you are still writing even if its slowed here on FiMFiction.
And I am glad to hear you are returning to the person you used to be and want to be. Hope you keep om.writong whatever stories you want and being an amazing writer and I don't think it will mean much given I'm just someone who follows you on the website but I respect you a great deal as a writer and hope you write for a long time coming.
Been here since the start and I can say with confidence that You and your work has had a bigger impact on me and my life then any other part of the fandom, and I am forever greatful for that.

I don't remember where I heard that, who said it, or even if it's a correct quote, but it's something I've taken to heart in my life. So let me tell you something, Mono. With what you've said, I'd say you are a courageous person, because you've chosen to act despite your trepidation. That is worth applauding.
So thank you for all the stories you've posted, because more often than not, they bring a little bit of joy to my day. And thank you for not letting your fear stop you.
