There's something dark lurking in the corner of Diamond Tiara's bedroom, inside the closet where she keeps her dresses. It watches her every night, and she knows that if she looks away it will take the chance to creep closer. Maybe that's why she's afraid to fall asleep.

Rose Bloom is even more timid than her mother, and Fluttershy is worried. She decides to help Rose get over her fears by introducing her to somepony really scary - Flutterbat.

The first 2000 words were written in one hour for the Quills and Sofas Halloween Spooktacular speedwriting contest. I finished the rest later on, after maybe 2-3 more hours.

For some ponies, friendship is magic. For others, it is a curse. Chrysalis, Queen of the Changelings, is freed from stone, to find herself once again the Queen of nothing. She flees her captors, and finds her thoughts turning once more to her errant children.

Luna has returned from her banishment to the moon, purified and reborn. She should be happy, but she feels lost. Who is she? She is not the Nightmare, but not yet the Princess of the Night that once she was.

This story will eventually reappear as part of my behemoth origin story for the Princesses, but I liked it enough to publish it as a oneshot too.
