During a trip to the Crystal Empire with his girlfriend, Big Macintosh ends up stumbling upon what appears to be King Sombra's broken off horn. What surprises him is that the horn appears to be sentient and attaches itself to Big Mac's forehead, causing Sombra's lack of a heart to fuse with Big Mac's Pure Heart.

With this, the two end up merging into one being, Midnight Macintosh, lacking Big Mac's pure heart but not the heartless monster Sombra was. Midnight Macintosh does not know anything about his past two lives and has no memory of anything, he simply wanders around looking for a purpose.

He eventually meets a blue unicorn ho is aspiring to be a producer and agrees to help him with a film project, but is someone who is not heartless or lacking a pure heart cut out for what that would bring him?

It was recruitment season in Canterlot and Shining Armor and Flash Sentry were responsible for training the new recruits and getting them physically and mentally into shape. As the two divided the six new recruits between them, Shining Armor ended up with two stallions named Camo Cadet and Combat Gear, who were practically born to joining the ranks and fight on the battle field, and one under qualified cadet who probably should have just stayed as a coffee house worker named Mocha Jon.

After a few lessons, Shining Armor decided the coffee house worker needed private lessons if he was to advance past training, and the two ended up bonding rather fondly... Maybe too fondly for one of them.

After his feelings were revealed, Jon needs to realize how to get over a stallion who is happily married and Shining Armor needs to see how to reject his friend without hurting him.

When King Sombra is resurrected from the dead, he changes plans. The Crystal Empire knows how to defeat him if he shows himself, but how would they defeat their old King if they cannot handle its current Prince? Using Shining Armor as bait, Sombra takes his revenge slowly on the Crystal Empire... and on the Dragon who defeated him before...

Can Twilight save the Empire or will everypony return to being King Sombra's Crystal Slaves?

After a bad day, somepony named Dry Wall who is not very popular or lucky accidentally enters the Everfree Forest while trying to clear his head. He became overpowered by the magical forces that sensed his disdain and he becomes the forest's powerful King. He wants revenge on Equestria for never caring about him or the forest and is determined to take back the land no matter what cost.

Big Macintosh was feeling overworked at the farm and decided to take a week off to just have fun. He and Discord figured a great way would be to make Mac act a bit more... Playful. A mutual decision, Discord used his powers to help Mac unwind, granted anither pony begins to feel a little off putted by Mac's new affection... Will Mocha Jon join in the game or will he run away in fear of the demon of chaos corrupting him the same way?

Starlight Glimmer has a new friendship lesson from Twilight while she and her friends are out in Canterlot: Find a common interest with a pony she barely knows. After going to the coffee shop she bonds with Barista Mocha Jon and the two decide to start a duo together. However they do not achieve instant success and have struggles both with helping themselves and helping somepony they both used to love.

King Sombra has returned and has sentenced Celestia and Luna to the same fate they forced him to suffer for 1000 years underground. Once he took power he wanted to have some ponies to have some fun with that involves stripping them of their free will... When Sombra has his eyes on Mocha Jon, he decides to put him to a special test. Will Mocha Jon be able to pass the test or will he fail and suffer a horrible fate?

He hates all mares and believes they have too much power, and has a plan to over throw all the female princesses... Our mane heroines (and one self insert character Pinkie Pie loves to mention was crudely added by a mediocre writer...) must learn to defeat him after he uses a powerful hypnotic spell on all the stallions and forces them to rebel and join his new kingdom.
