//------------------------------// // Part 11 // Story: Prince Marshall // by Mocha Jon //------------------------------// Walking out of the catacomb, the group was basically trying to avoid the elephant in the room about how two of them were recently brainwashed and were more concerned about Twilight switching sides. "Wait what? Twilight's working with Marshall!?" Cadence yelled out in panic, in a cartoonishly over the top fashion. "She can't do that, I mean sure he's smooth and powerful and handsome and..." Shining looked over annoyingly at her then, "Uh never mind..." "What happened to you wings and your horn anyway?" Shining asked. "That evil king took all my power away! He played me .so he could use me!" She reluctantly continued, "Look, Twilight doesn't know what she's getting into! We gotta help her!" She said as they passed a statue fountain crafted of Marshall. Suddenly as they all walked passed it, Rainbow Dash and Applejack stopped right in front of it and for some reason started saluting at it. The rest turned around and all looked confused by this. When the camera pans to them it is revealed that their eyes were turned cyan like all the stallions' eyes were. "Rainbow Dash? Applejack? What happened?" Spike asked. Rarity just rolled her eyes and walked back over to the fountain herself, "Let me handle this one fellows..." She said as she took a bucket and filled it with water from the fountain. She then walked over to the two and splashed them both with the water bucket, causing them both to shake their heads off and return to normal, looking a little angry at Rarity. "You know there's a reason I tell you two to act more Lady-like!" She smugly said as they walked off, the rest of them laughing at them. They shook that off and continued walking off, but suddenly Spike spit out another letter from Twilight, to the group's surprise. 'Dear everypony, Twilight Sparkle is here by indited as the Hinny King's new Princess. Her coronation is this weekend and you are invited to the event.' "This weekend? I have a bad mitten match followed by a tennis match!" Pinkie yelled. "We can't let her go through with this, we need to stop her!" Starlight said concerned, not wanting her mentor to negate everything she taught her. Suddenly in the background, Big Macintosh and Shining Armor noticed a depressed looking pegasus sobbing on a park bench. They stepped to the side for a moment to see what was wrong. As they went off Fluttershy said she had an idea to take down Marshall but it was it heard. When the two walked over to the pegasus, she was revealed to look a lot like Marshall, same coat color, same mane color, and she even had a very mild Spanish accent in her voice. "Hey, what's wrong?" Shining asked. She looked up but didn't seem like she wanted to talk to them. "Oh please, like any stallion would listen to a mare like me, even though I don't deserve it anyway." She depressingly said to herself as she looked away. "Nope." "Yeah, we aren't under that spell anymore, long story but you don't need to worry." Shining responded. "Wait what spell? Never mind, just leave me alone, it's my fault anyway." She answered, still refusing to talk to them. "Nope!" Big Mac yelled as he got right up in her face. She eventually gave in, "Look it's my fault all these stallions are revolting and why my brother is so mad with power!" "Your brother? Marshall's your brother? The new King of Equestira is your brother?" Shining asked in surprise. "What do you mean this is your fault?" She stopped crying for a bit and decided to explain, "Look, when Marshall and I were kids I was always a bully to him and to colts, I always tried to show off and prove how much better I was then he was. I always made fun of him and told him he couldn't do anything because he was a boy, me and my friends always put him down." She sighed and began to tear up again, "Once I did something that was just too far and I got in trouble, Ever sense then he went crazy, we haven't spoken sense boarding school." Big Mac patted her on the back and looked sympathetic towards her. Shining Armor looked at her and also seemed sorry for her. "Hey, I'm sure you weren't that bad, maybe you're just nervous for your brother?" "No, me and my friends openly told him he would never accomplish anything because he was a stallion. We felt horrible for how we acted and after school we got together and opened a colt play center for little boys to learn about themselves and make friends. We tried to make a difference after how bad we were, but clearly we didn't do enough! I'm sorry but I just can't be here right now...!" She said as she ran off, accidentally knocking Big Mac down, "Oh sorry dear, see, I hurt stallions all over!" The two looked at each other confused and dumbfounded. They weren't really sure how to respond to that. Was she really that bad to him? Maybe she could help them take down Marshall, maybe she knows secrets about him they could use? Either way they didn't know and went back to the group, who seemed angry. "No! I won't do it! I want to get Twilight back but that's the one thing I just can't do!" Starlight cried out in rage. "But we're sure it will take him down from power, why in tarnation will ya not do it?" Applejack asked. "Plus it will make a great story climax and be great development for your character!" Pinkie added. Starlight was not impressed, "Look, two wrongs don't make a right and this is a huge wrong! I don't want to hear another word about this, now let it go!" She yelled out in rage. Whatever it was, Starlight Glimmer did not want to do whatever it was that they suggested. "Oh dear..." Fluttershy noted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back in Marshall's castle, he was seen sitting on his throne as Mocha Jon walked in carrying cups of coffee and handed one to Marshall. "What is this? You now I prefer white chocolate to hazelnut!" He annoyingly yelled at Jon. "Hey, you only had enough creamer left for one cup of white chocolate latte, and I'm allergic to hazelnut!" He said as he chugged the rest of his cup, making Marshall roll his eyes. Suddenly Twilight walked into the room about to reveal her Princess outfit. When she got in, she was wearing a dress that extremely resembled a maid's uniform... "I don't know if I should congratulate you or ask you on a date." Jon sarcastically noted as she rolled her eyes. "So what exactly do I need to do as Princess of Equestria? Do I need to schedule an appointment with Yak-Yakistan's ambassadors or send a note to the press reporters about our new arrangement?" She asked Marshall. Marshall flew down after he finished his coffee, throwing the cup at Jon's face, "Actually I have a lot of paperwork about the tax reports and international trade commissions and I need somepony to clear the mess up." He said as he opened a wall with his horn and revealed a large room filled with yard high paperwork for Twilight. When Twilight walked into the room, she was about to say something but Marshall just closed the door with his horn and chuckled. "Have fun with that!" Jon rubbed his forehead, "Okay what was the point of that?" "I wasn't aiming for your head I just missed the trashcan and..." Marshall began until Jon cut him off. "Not that! But still, 'thanks a lot for that'" He sarcastically responded, "I meant what was the point of passing off all that paperwork on Twi?" "Oh that, sure she's nice and a good Princess, but she's still a mare so she's best for cleaning, plus it would be funny to see her get annoyed filling all those." Jon rolled his eyes again, "You want to annoy and punish her for being a girl with that? This is Twilight we're talking about, by that logic you should punish me by throwing me a party and baking me a dozen red velvet cakes." He sarcastically responded as he walked out of the room.
