You can find headlines like this in any newspaper. Crammed somewhere in the back, bought from a smaller publication for a few bits to fill space. Most ponies laugh, if they spot them at all, and then move on. But one stallion took a particular interest in these strange stories and especially their protagonist.

After years of research and study, he's determined to track her down. One way or another, he will find this mysterious Ponyville Mare.

"To one's own heart be true" they say, but for royalty that is not always the case. Sometimes royalty has to put duty before love, and sometimes they find themselves unable to do so.
When a king finds himself torn between his heart and his country, he must make the hardest decision. Whatever the consequences.

Pinkie Pie is a very busy mare. Between her friends and her family, her party-planning job and her world-saving Element duties, she barely has any time for herself. Sometimes she wishes she had some help.

This wish is answered in the form of a small changeling, lost and alone.

Little did she or he know what series of events this would kickstart, or the marvelous new chapter it would open in the party mare's life.

Fate is a funny thing.
It sneaks up on you when you least expect it and pulls your life in new directions.
But with so much on the line --whole destinies hanging on a single moment-- one can only wonder... what if things had happened differently?

This story was written as a collaboration between myself and ROBCakeran53.
Each of us was provided a different story prompt and we were forbidden to tell each other what it was. With that restriction, we had 90 minutes to write something (two cursors, one document) that satisfied both prompts.
This was the result. Enjoy.

When one has the capability to bring whole worlds to life with the merest brush of their fingertips, there are some worlds which are created that... don't quite meet the mark. Collected here are the fragments of such worlds; snippets and glimpses into places and times that might have been.

Sophistry aside, this is a collection of my shorter works --most commonly the results of speed writing contests-- which I felt didn't quite have what it takes to be standalone published stories. Tags and characters will be attributed in each chapter, as will contest-specific details in their respective Author's Notes. Most stories are likely to be E for Everyone, but the story as a whole is tagged Tenn just to be on the safe side.

If bureaucracy is the wheels of a nation, then proper scheduling is the grease and oil.
When it is ignored, things either grind to a halt... or someone gets chewed up in the gears.

Skipping Stone is your average pony, one amongst thousands, who went through the portal to the human world to look for better job prospects. Whether or not he found them is a matter of debate.

Written, vaguely, for Admiral Biscuit's Not-Really-A-Contest about ponies working jobs on Earth. Probably not the direction he intended we take things in, but you write what you know.

Ponyville has grown up. It's not the same town it was.
And yet the same old ponies are still there, remembering how things used to be.
Maybe it's time to finally move on?

Originally written as a oneshot for the My Little Story Speedwriting Competition (4th edition), but later inspired to become something of an anthology of short adventures. Tags may shift and various characters will come and go.

After years of tireless work for the good of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle is finally getting her just rewards: a hall named after her in the Royal Canterlot Library!

However she's about to find that earning the honor was a cakewalk compared to trying to actually get there to accept it.

Winner of the August 1000 Word Challenge, written around the prompt words "Denied" and "Accidental". Some slight edits were made post-contest, but the length has been preserved.

Edit: Some people have pointed out the similarity of one of the jokes to a comic made by Glanco Justicar. While this was not intentional, I like to take it as evidence that great minds think alike.
