Chapter 1

Arceus stared at the three being in front of him, and sighed. “What did you do this time?”, he asked, his voice gaining the tone that only years of repetition can drill into it.

“weeellll…” the first one began “ Dialga and Giratina were fighting, and I thought it would be kind of me to try and stop them, so I did, and they attacked me, just out of the blue, then—“

“That’s crap and you know it,” the second one, Dialga, interrupted “I was just having a friendly debate with Giratina when ---”

“Yeah”, the third being, Giratina, snickered, “if you mean a debate with fists”

“Oh shut up” “like you ever could have the brainpower to debate” “at least I don’t have to compete with a pixie”

From there, the room only further fell into chaos, as Palkia, Dialga and Giratina bickered with each other until Arceus just couldn’t take it anymore.

“Would you three just SHUT UP!” he roared, and the room fell silent. “What is it that you guys actually did? I don’t care how you did it I just want to know what you did. Can you answer me that?” His voice full of desperation, he turned to look at the trio in the room. Silence greeted him. ”Okay then, let’s put this in a term you can understand: What city did you blow up this week?”

Three pairs of eyes turned downward and Palkia muttered something under his breath.

“What’s that?” Arceus asked,” I couldn’t hear you”

“Alamos”

“One more time”

“Alamos, okay? We destroyed Alamos Town!” Palkia cried out.

“Again?” Arceus asked “This has to stop. You can’t just destroy important cities just because you can’t get along. You need to learn some friendship”, as he talked, a sly idea crossed the Pokémon’s mind “and I know just the place to send you..."

Princess Celestia was sitting on her thrown in the middle of listening to ‘suggestions’ from her nephew, Prince Blueblood, when she felt the familiar tingle of magic that she recognized a s a letter being sent to her. Expecting a letter from her prize student, she was surprised to instead find a different seal on the envelope. A seal that she hadn’t see for more than a thousand years. Celestia smiled, and, after excusing herself, went to read the letter in her room.

Dear Celestia,

It has been a while, hasn’t it? I haven’t seen you in forever! How have you been? It’s been good on my end, and I hope that you can say the same. However, this letter is not just for friendliness. I am in dire need of your help. My three sons Giratina, Palkia and Dialga all have fallen at odds with each other, and are constantly fighting and destroying things. I believe that you, who has one of the deepest understandings of harmony can help them from destroying themselves, because frankly, it annoys me to no end seeing them fight, and having to clean up after them. I wish you the best of days and hope that you can help me.

Celestia thought about the proposition and smiled. After all, if they could redeem Discord, Twilight and her friends could easily handle this. How hard could it be?

Twilight sat in the car of the train listening to the chatter of her friends surrounding her. They were almost to Canterlot, and she had to admit she was curious to what this would entail. The princess’s letter had been vague, and only asked her to bring her friends and come to Canterlot. There was a lot of different ways this could go down, and the majority of them were pretty ugly.

Suddenly a voice cut in, interrupting Twilight’s thoughts. “Twilight, darling, I’d hate to be bother, but you’ve ben staring at the luggage for almost an hour now. Is something wrong?”

“Oh, it’s nothing Rarity, Twilight replied, “I just am kind of worried about what the princess wants me to do. What if she has a test for me on my friendship studies? What if I fail? What if she expels me as her student, or worse, makes me come back up to Canterlot because she thinks I haven’t been taking my studies seriously? What if –"

“Twilight!” Rarity cried “You are one of the hardest working ponies I have ever met, and the princess is not going to expel you.”

“Yeah Twilight,” Pinkie Pie interjected, bouncing excitedly “Princess Celestia would never be such a meany-mean pants”
Just then, the scream of the whistle told the girls they had reached the Canterlot train station. The six mares walked out of the train and headed to the castle, where they would meet the princess and learn just what this was all about.

The six mares burst into the throne room, where the Princess was waiting for them. To her right, sat her sister Luna, who looked excited, like an adult who was just about to see a friend they haven’t seen since they were a small child, while at her left sat Discord on a throne of candy, who looked like he was bored out of his skull and was just waiting for this to end.

“Umm…. Princess” began Applejack cautiously “Ah don’t mean to be a bother or nuthin’, but mind telling us what exactly we’re doing here?”

“Of course Applejack” Celestia replied,” but I believe that It would be easier to show you.”

As soon as she finished her sentence, in some form of divine punctuation, a swirling golden vortex appeared out of thin air, and from it stepped four stallions.

The first was a pure white Pegasus stallion, sporting a Mohawk of ivory, with stripes of pink, and his tail was the same color. He was glaring daggers at the other members of his party, and seemed to be incredibly frustrated at his fate, like being here was the worst thing he could be doing right know. His cutie mark was a swirling purple vortex, seemingly sucking up everything in sight.

The second stallion was a unicorn, and he definitely had the feel of someone you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley. His coat was an ashen gray, and his eyes had the purple wisps of smoke drifting out from the corners of his eyes that signified the use of black magic, and his mane and tail, cut short and functional was black with tinges of red and gold. His cutie mark was a pair of ornate mirrors, positioned so that they reflected each other, showing an infinite amount of mirrors inside.

The third stallion, an earth pony, carried with him an aura of power, and he carried himself like a warrior. His tail and mane, a lighter, ocean blue was tinged with streaks of grey and silver, and appeared almost metallic. His coat was a deeper shade of blue, and his silver eyes seemed to be calculating all that he say. His cutie mark was a bronze clock encased in a gear, and stood out from his indigo coat.

The last pony was also without a doubt the most impressive. Its coat was the purest of whites, and its mane and tail were just as white, but with an extra shade of Black streaking through the white. His cutie mark was that of something none of the six young mares had ever seen before; a circular device, slit in two halves with a small circle in the middle, with the top half being shaded entirely red, and the bottom half white. The most striking feature was the fact that the creature was an alicorn, possessing both the wings of a Pegasus, the magic of a unicorn, and the durability of the earth pony.

At the sight of the alicorn, Celestia broke out into a wide grin. “Arceus, It’s been too long!”

“Likewise,” the alicorn, Arceus said, “Far too long.one of these days we must simple get together to chat.”

“Well this is great and heartwarming and all, but I’ve got tricks to practice” Rainbow dash interjected” so just tell us who to zap, and we’ll be on our way, Kay?”

Arceus snickered “ Well, zapping is good and all, but for this case, you’ll need a bit more subtlety.”

He pointed to each of the three other ponies“ I need you six to keep these three-Palkia” he pointed at the pegasus ”Dialga” he pointed to the earth pony ” and Giratina” he pointed to the unicorn “away from each other’s throats for more than ten minutes. They can’t stop bickering, and it’s driving me insane. Do that, and I’ll owe you one. Capisce?”

Rainbow snorted. “So all we’re doing is teaching these guys to play nice? Easy Peasy. I’ll have it done in ten seconds flat!”

Rarity spoke up “now Rainbow, you must simply stop and approach this with a bit more… grace”

Fluttershy spoke up “um.. girls”

“We’ll It’s a good thing I don’t. How lame would that be?”

“Girls!”

“Well maybe if you would, you’d find that things would be done a lot more productively!”

“GIRLS!” Everyone jumped at the sound of Fluttershy’s outburst and turned to stare at her. In response she wordlessly pointed to the far side of the hall, where her three stallion’s fighting had quickly reduced the majestic hall to little more than ruins.

“Oh Yeah,” Arceus said “did I mention that they have god- like powers? ‘Cause they do. Kind of important.”

Twilight stifled a groan. This was going to be a long day.
