Dragonboy111

I've been a fan for a short time, but I'm passionate about the magic of this franchise.

This got really interesting 🧐 for me I am even more excited about this book project then ever

And bacon-hair joins the party.
[Sunset Shimmer]: "WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!"
[Me]: "Uh-oh. Niceworkasalwayscan'twaittoreadmoregottagoseeyalaterBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"(runs away. Fimfiction needs an Angry Sunset emoji)

... oops. I may have meddled too much. Who to blame it on.... Discord! What did you do!

Oh dear.

I pity the poor kangeroo. :rainbowderp:

I see...so your plan is to make the time differential such that Harry can complete year 5 and still return in time to play with Comrade Starlight?

As for the human side, I am wondering if Harry is still going to experience the Dementor incident that led to him being made to present himself at the Ministry for the hearing, the result of which leading the Wizengamot to send the pink toad to Hogwarts...unless you have another trigger for them sending her.

interesting now how did this happen guess we'll have to wait and see Sunset's answer. Was Sunset pulled into the portal when Twilight and Harry used the portal or is it case of BAD timing and she was attempting to use the portal at the same time and got shunted along for the ride.

11839622 This might actually happen faster since Harry is much more practiced and experienced he's also more used to using everyday rather than trying to hide it unless Equestrian magic is different enough for it to be undetectable

Oh shiiieeet! That's not ominous in any way...

Whups, Twily gone done bucked up another experimental magic macguffin effect through insufficient testing prior to implementation! :trollestia::rainbowlaugh::eeyup:

it's far better than condiment head

11841660
[Sunset Shimmer]: "CONDIMENT HEAD?!"
[Me]: "Please don't her angrier than she already is. Last time it was some training dummies. I don't wanna hafta fear for my own survival."

11841892
referencing another asshole who calls you that in another universe don't be pissed at a multiverse traveler

Well, that's a promising start : ) I think I didn't read any crossovers with Harry, Twilight and Sunset in one place : )

That was actually a great chapter I am quite surprised of how great it took. But it is an amazing chapter.

"I don't know, it's acting like a compass for... something ."

LOL

I've decided that the B.C. in Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C. stands for Before Claudius. Tiberius Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus who was the first to successfully invade England.

11852155
The compass. I did something similar quite a ways back. In my earlier crossover I used the piece of the scar from Harry's head like a campus to point out the location of Horcruxes. In my story they were collecting crystals that formed when they destroyed a Horcrux. The compass was made when they realized the crystals were attracted to each other. I dropped the idea from my present story because it was going to make it to easy to collect the Horcrux items for that character.

I do find it interesting how the TOH took Harry’s broken wand and transformed it into something new and unique for him.

I can't imagine Sunset staying for more than the year since her friends aren't with her. Not unless Anon-a-Miss happened in the worst way like in some of the fics on this site.

Poor Mr Olivander.

Pinkie nearly gave him a cupcake.:pinkiehappy:

The only way that wand could be more OP is if it looked just like Discords Lamp. :rainbowderp:

Still, so far so good. theyve arrived and the Ministery hasnt taken Umbridge yet.:trixieshiftright:

Definitely enjoyed this chapter. Nice to see Sunset show up!

11852163
That's what I was implying at whether it be the sword of Gryffindor which at this point is still currently stored in Bellatrix's vault after it was returned by Dumbledore or The tiara that's further down in Greengotts (the reason for the sword being an option is because it can destroy horcruxes possibly having absorbed some of the magic as the nature of goblin forged swords is they absorb whatever can make them stronger)

11852821
I forget what's been done so far in this story, but in the books the Tiara was in the school, the cup was in the Lestrange vault, and the sword only appears to true Gryffindors. The sword has some sort of enchantment on it and was never a Horcrux because Riddle never got his hands on it.

If it’s Harry x twilight that would be amazing 🤩 and so cute and sweet.

An interesting aside here is that Harry has OPTIONS other than Britain...if the Ministry pushes to much then he can say "fuck you all, you deserve Voldemort" (he won't but the very fact that he COULD will be a massive stick to wave at the Wizarding World)

Ok so now they have to find the horcroxes to stop you know who for good but they need to know how to destroy they so he can stay gone. Also love the chapter by the way. love it.

Hoo boy, that's gonna escalate quickly! :pinkiegasp:

Hopefully, this will make Dumbledore actually help Harry this time instead of avoiding him during his 5th year.

This i one of those power scale problems that authors get to have lots of trouble with. If Voldemorts fractional power is needed to compete with Twilights hypertuned planetary magical field, then really, thres no story, Voldemort is so powerful relative to the global Earth magical power, hes won. If he was scaled relative to magical effort, Twilight teh unicorn could Discord Grogar him, and Twilicorn wouldnt even have to blink before dragging every horcrux through sympathtic magic to one isolated location then Curaga erasing them.

And thats without even getting to the high power stuff.

I cant remember who it was who said, Never let the facts get in the way of a good story. Thats whay Im not an author. :pinkiesad2:

"Well, in the meantime, would you like to say hello to Ron and Hermione?" Mrs. Wesley asked. "First floor, second door to the left." Mrs. Weasley gently pushed Harry along. "You can come down for dinner in thirty minutes, no sooner. We'll talk later."

Missing an "a" there. :twilightsheepish:

"Like what? What could a bank, a house, and a compass have in common?" Sunset asked.

An architect. :pinkiehappy:

YAY! Still can the author confirm that the sword didn't also trip the amulet?

11859498
I was just thinking they could let Sunset torch it.

Cliffhanger, we meet again, our old nemesis...

But seriously, good work with the story

11859326 11859395
Yep, this is going to shuffle a few things around. A lot of things, actually. To my knowledge, Dumbledore didn't have concrete evidence of multiple Horcruxes at this point.

11859548
I'm not sure what you mean. Unless I'm forgetting something, there shouldn't be a reason for the amulet or sword to have any unique reactions to each other.

11859426
Dumbledore's plan didn't make any sense by any metric. If it was for a month, sure, but how long was he planning on? Until Harry or Voldemort died? Dumbledore shares the same flaw as Celestia, in that he's so wise he could solve most problems instantly, so the writers invent means to prevent that, contrived as they might be.

11859498
I am well aware of the scaling imbalance, don't you worry. I can't say much without spoiling the story, but I promise it'll be good. Scaling MLP characters is a Herculean task thanks to additional canon like the comics. :facehoof: I mean, in one comic Shining Armor beat a giant living gun in a firefight and Twilight wielded an artifact of a multidimensional god to tear a hole into an infinite multiverse. I'm quite aware of the challenge of rationalizing that. :pinkiecrazy:

11859527
Fixed.

11859555 11859498
As powerful as Sunset is, I'll let the next chapter decide how the characters deal with it. I wouldn't want to show favoritism toward one of my favorite characters in the comments, now would I?

11859862
Thanks!

11860376
Don't want Sunset blasting out all the windows is it? :pinkiehappy:

As for Dumbledore, he's undeniably brilliant, but I can't help but think people give him too much credit. He knew Riddle had been interested in obtaining immortality by the use of a Horcrux, and the book proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he had. He knew deep down that Riddle may have made more than one, and yet it really looks like he kept that to himself for quite a while before taking action.

11860376
it can destroy Horcruxes thanks to absorbing basilisk venom meaning it could be an object the amulet points to

11860647
Oh, I see. No, the amulet (as I've written it now) only points to Horcruxes, nothing more.

11860535
Yeah, Dumbledore could plan many things in advance, but my goodness did he drop the ball with Harry. I'm not sure if he was planning to tell Harry more throughout book 6, but died too soon, or he just never planned to. It hardly matters at this point anyhow, as Dumbledore can't keep Harry in the dark at this point.

11860771
ah ok i would have said it absorbed some Horcrux magic but it hasn't been used to destroy one yet (although it might after)

So you made a workaround to make it so Nagini is a horcrux without killing Bertha Jorkins?

11867707
Good question. Bertha Jorkins is dead, as she was in the books. She was killed in 1994, before Voldemort got his new body. Harry could see through Nagini in GoF, so she had to have been a Horcrux by this point. An interview with JK confirmed it, one which has yet to be contradicted.

Doc Rids?

Doc, you made a Time Machine, out of a Delorean?

Well, I hated all that electrical stuff for the engine I needed all the power for the time circuits, so I got rid of the E. :pinkiecrazy:

"Potter has been spinning whimsical stories," Snape said.

Please remind me why Snape is there. He wasn't a member of the order, he's Dumbledore's double agent.

11868092
Also a good question. I thought Snape was to act as Voldemort's "secret agent" in the Order while working as a double agent for Dumbledore. He did visit 12 Grimmauld Place from time to time (I don't have the book on me as I'm writing, so I checked the wiki) and he was also feeding information to both sides simultaneously.

I wonder, do you happen to know a YouTube channel by the name of SuperCarlinBrothers?

They have this long-running playlist of videos, titled "what if...?", where they explore a range of possibilities, mainly in the Harry Potter books, if at a certain point, they changed how a scenario plays out.

Anyway, the point being, they have a rule to always try to stick as close to the original story as possible, as they go through each and every story beat, that happens afterwards. One of these rules for example, is that any prophecy made in the original story, must also remain true in the "what if...?" story.

I'm asking, because I'm wondering if you are following a similar ruleset.

11868092
Yeah, that doesn't seem to track! Snape wasn't there even in the original story! :twilightoops:

You called Dissy a background character. You know that risks tempting the multiverse to have him reach out of your screen and give you a right booping, right?
