BronyWriter

I write pony words. Millions of them. Some people actually think they might be worth reading. I am very thankful for that. Also, I have a Patreon now?

This story is a sequel to The Life of a Non-Brony

Before the bat pony filly Comet Screech was adopted by TD Powell and his wife Cheerilee, She lived for several years in a Canterlot orphanage. Every day is a crushing reminder that her differences means that she is unlikely to be adopted, and as each day passes and she gets older and older, the chances become even slimmer.

She'll never get out. She'll age out of the system. She knows it. Nopony would want a freak like her...

Guess I have something new to read a bit later.

Well, that was an unexpected source of depression. I remembered Comet being a whole lot of jaded in the other story, but that she had Rainstorm as an example of unaboptables...AND it sounds like Comet didn't bother to keep in touch...

It's been literally years since I read the original story but I saw this in my feed and although I didn't remember Comet herself, I did remember DT and thought "why not?" And I'm very glad I did!

Not only is this a great little story on it's own but it's made me want to go back and re-read DT's other adventures, though the details have faded and blurred with the thousands of fics and likely millions of words I've read over the years I remember liking DT's story, even if I remember also being annoyed about something he did, although I no longer remember what it was lol.

But yeah, I'll be checking out the other fics again, maybe relive some of that early fandom magic while I'm at it

Edit: ok, after reading the first one again it was not DT that did the thing that upset me, that was a guy from a totally different story that just happened to do the thing DT dose at the end of the first one but the way they do it was totally not cool where as the way DT did it was totally fine.

In an odd way, this chapter is emotionally painful. Comet Screech is too young to understand what it means not to be wanted, and that's why it hurts. Because I know that eventually, she will begin to understand what it means, and this innocence will be taken from her.

Well, I think you just ripped my heart out of my chest there. I get the feeling that you'll put it in a blender soon.

Wonderful story, really nice to see comet's perspective when she was in the orphanage. Though I'm curious to know what happened to rainstorm.

I was not ready for that particular brand of feels today.

Please tell me there’s a sequel with Comet. I want more. PPPPPPPLLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSSSSSSSSEEEEE!!!!!

You mean Rainstorm? The sequel with Comet is all of her chapters in Life of a Non-Brony.

Oh yeah sorry. In reality I was talking about Comet, this is the first story I’ve read of yours, however I do worry for what Rainstorm’s future looks like. So I guess both? Although I know the answer for Comet, now.

Comet is one of my favorite OCs I've read in the fanfic fandom. I felt really sorry her but her life got better. Here's to hoping she'll be a good mommy one day.

Well, it’s good! I hope rainstorm got over her issues and made some real friends, maybe moving out of Canterlot would do her some good

Yeah, what the heck happened to Rainstorm? One-shot! One-shot! One-shot! :fluttershysad:

That is... simultaneously adorably innocent and very sad. I guess it's a taste of things to come. At least before she meets TD and Cheerilee.

I've been meaning to get around to finishing reading this. And I'm glad I did. It was a sweet little read.

Well, shit. There's that blender.
