Lux Festus, the youngest and last wielder of the Philosphers Stone sacrificed himself to save the future of Earth from the darker side of humanity. However, God had others plans for the early teen, besides the afterlife. Which of course, was a reincarnation to another world! But Lux failed to comprehend the sheer differences between his world of alchemy and the new world of magic.

He's from an alternate Earth. And because of the changes alchemy has brought, the continents and countries have different names and styles to them with connections to each other in light of the conflicts hinted at.

Nope. Though I do see the similarities with using signs to make crazy stuff happen. Alchemy from this version of earth doesn't have a give and take portion as the power of a spell correlates to the user's control over their mind, body and soul. The differences with magic is basically better stamina usage but less versatility.

As much as I would've loved to orchestrate a fight scene between Nightmare Moon, Twilight and Lux (Or should I say Darklo now.) It wouldn't be much of a fight. As season 1 is more about Lux acclimating to new rules and reawakening all his previous abilities. Right now, he doesn't have enough in his kit to fight off an Alicorn, even with Twilight's help, whose magic was much more limited compared to other seasons. I don't wanna be that kind of author that makes ass pulls for the sake of plot so, we go along with canon just for a while longer.
Also I assure you, buddy will be quite the handful for Twilight and friends. Let's just keep reading and see.

You're right, and that's exactly why Darklo has that same mindset in this episode. The guy was a human before and we take the logical solution over most situations. But that kind of reasoning conflicts with the pony society's more emotional and passive standpoint. Both have their merits, but each will find trouble in understanding the others viewpoint which is why I hope to bring this pony-human conflict of mindset in later chapters. You know, for drama and stuff. But anyways, have a nice day Tempest.

My apologies. I originally was going to set up Owlicious in this episode but then I remembered it was originally a delivery owl so it wouldn't be near Fluttershys cottage at that time. So instead, I changed it to that 1 falcon in that Rainbow Dash pet race in season 2. Il have read through again and fix it.
