I don’t know if this means Twilight is immortal or just lives very long, considering the ending where she visits her friends. Don’t know if her seeing them means she’s able to see them and is soon to pass, or if she’s just visiting and is immortal. Considering the span of years described, I think it maybe be the former, but either way, nicely written little one-shot.

I’d think they’d have gone through something similar to Twilight’s situation, but I wonder in canon, if they would just be immortal and live out forever in retirement, or if they would eventually die. Living forever in retirement sounds like you would be annoyed by living that long. Maybe there was something said about what the last episode really means that I don’t know, but I’m just thinking.

Yeah. And I think for a kids show, them being immortal would probably be too sad. Spike shows that he ages so I’d think it’s just a longer lifespan, like dragons. But probably 5-10x longer if not more.

IIRC, Dragonshy referenced a “nap” for an adult dragon being around 100 years long (though the writers seem to have forgotten how adult dragons worked when they started exploring the species in detail).

A theme I liked for the fic.
The trail off about the Mane 6 felt like filler, I would have had her remember about Spike. If any, what is she doing recalling something a trillion years ago? I would have had her remember that at the first million, let alone thousand.
But anyway, I appreciate how sweet and hopeful this is. It's such a low energy and very mysterious, yet it feels empty. Twilight, at her trillion-year mark, would have been a shell by then not-gonna-lie.
