ah, that hit me in my heart as...well, got a similar family experience in a fic of mine, which came unexpected, as silly as it sounds
I can relate to Levi of not being able to open up to his step mother as I had lost my mother two years ago to complications caused by COVID-19. She would have been 70 in July 2021.
I can also relate to my father remarrying to someone who he madly loves and cares.
