Interesting, what makes you so confident its a male this time?
Now this is quite interesting.
We see some consequences for the ones left behind by the dissapearances. It's easy to forget they left families and loved ones behind. There's the obvious conflict between the two characters going on. Unlike previous entries, they might have some serious struggles with themselves, each other, and the place keeping them trapped. They don't WANT to be stuck together, at least not right now.

Nothing so far suggests there's going to be another character added. Prequels had one boy and two girls each, but they also had them all right from the start. Meaning there's no hint for a third, nor that it would be a male—with Diamond Tiara openly explaining she's a lesbian, I'd say it's even less likely for it to be a male.
Having said that... I think it would be fascinating if there was a third added, and it was a male character to explore what that would, in turn, mean for them. As for who... I know it's not popular, but...

Hm, futa with possibility of impregnation? Color me intrigued! Can't wait to see more! I'm anticipating the next one in this series might involve more main characters and futa. I'm hoping Tempest and Twilight, but I always hope that XD

I agree, this one just didn’t seem to work. I think it was more about the relationship between the three protagonists, it just never felt authentic. I would love to see you do one with Starlight, Trixie, and Sunburst. Then again do what you want and hopefully it will all work out.
Sorry this didn't go the way you wanted. For what's it worth, I still think the idea has merit. Perhaps already having Diamond Tiara fully understand her crush and how it was the basis of her animus derailed things too much? Or maybe it was only having two characters and one of them being a dickgirl instead of the usual trio, since that means there's only the two of them to bounce things off of each other instead of one more party. Either way, I'm sorry. I didn't want you to feel like doing something you didn't enjoy.
Ah, well, that's a shame. Hope you can do more with futa though. And this is one of the best places for a casual nudity story. Here's hoping we get more in other stories! I still liked this one for what it was :)

I've been reading your Liminal/Poolrooms series, and it's interesting.
I have a suggestion for the next group of characters. How about Apple Bloom, Tender Taps, and Terramar? Or Sandbar, Yona, and Rumble? Either one of those sound interesting. But whatever group you have in mind is probably next, I look forward to seeing it.
Interesting so far. I am wondering if this 'poolroom' of yours will prove to be something like the wood between the worlds. (That's not a question for you: i will read more and find the answer on my own, just letting you know what is on my tiny mind as i read this first chapter.)

Yeah, ZeroFuturism took down a bunch of their vids for some reason. Its called ＴＨＥ ＰＯＯＬＲＯＯＭＳ (3 Hours of Relaxing Music Ambient, Backrooms, Liminal Space). Someone reuploaded the video so I'll replace the link with the reupload. Not at all familiar with Wood Between the Worlds. Would love to get a sample of that. I've got two more short stories planned with this series but would like to get more inspiration.

The wood between the worlds is a sadly under-developed locale in _The Magician's Nephew_, the book before _The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe_.
Short description from memory: Trees for as far as you can see. You can't see the sky; the light comes from no particular direction, and there are no sounds, no animals. There are shallow pools of water between the trees; uncountable, they stretch into the distance. With the use of magic, if you step into one, it takes you to a world. (Without magic, you just get wet.) When a world is destroyed, the corresponding pool goes dry.
Perhaps it doesn't literally exist, but is a projection of the particular stolen magic our protagonists are using.
Anyway.
I didn't know "The Poolrooms" was a game. I'd probably understand your work better if i had known that!

Actually, the Poolrooms is based on the Backrooms lore which originated on 4chan. The original Backrooms was a place outside of our reality that you could "Glitch" into if you weren't careful. Think of it as a internet urban legend. The levels of the Backrooms were expanded on to include places like the Poolrooms. Though this is my own interpretation of the Poolrooms with my own set of lore, the original idea came from a bunch of photos and the original idea of Liminal Spaces.
Also I had long ago read the Magicians Nephew but forgot about his part. Its interesting and I may go back to that now for inspiration.

oh, i see. i guess the game poolrooms was based on the meme poolrooms which was based on the backrooms. Reading about them now, I think I may have wandered into the backrooms once long ago. The description sounds quite appealing... "the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in" A pony could happily spend a long time wandering those desolate halls, at least this pony could. Ideally with that Zerofuturism mix you pointed me towards (thanks), that would be perfect, i will probably have it on repeat for the next few days.
