To make the timeline consistent, if you look up the tricked out time trope on to tropes tHat should explain it
11556205
You mean, a stable time loop? The thing that happened in It's About Time?
11556208
I think so, I’ve never played that before so I can only guess
11556209
It's Season 2 Episode 20. The one with Future Twilight.
11556211
Oh my mistake I forgot that’s what that episode is called. I thought you were talking about some other story. But yes that’s it exactly, only this time they did it intentionally
11556216
I wouldn't go that far, but I DO think it is an odd choice. Why go this far when she can just say she's from the future and trying to help him?
11556216
Because she wasn't mind controlled to be helping until after she already went back. Cadence is pretty dang evil.
Seriously, you have a lot of explaining to do!
If Flurry Heart is actually on our "Pro-Harem's" side.
Then why the hell did she made this highly convoluted plan of sealing her real memories, and pretending to be against them!? What's the frickin reason to screw with present Spike, Rarity, Cadence, and everypony else's heads?

It's a self fulfilling prophecy in a closed time loop. It's the exact same thing that happened at the end of Harry Potter and Prisoner of Azkaban. Harry had to go back in time to save himself from the dementors and save the Hippogriff frome execution. Harry couldn't change the past to prevent the dementors from swarming them in the first place, nor could he prevent the axe from swinging down, but he could work in the background to rig the odds in his favour without explicitly contradicting what had already happened.
This is the same concept. They couldn't change the fact the Flurry would travel through time to ruin their plans, but they could alter the circumstances surrounding her arrival to be more favourable to them. So they vowed to raise Flurry as a loyal member of the harem, but send her back under mind control to "work against them", but ensure that she doesn't ultimately succeed.
Another good example was during a Rick and Morty episode where they find themselves in an impossible situation, so they vow to travel back in time at a later date to save their current selves, then suddenly their future selves appear to save them. Later in the episode it shows their current selves go back to save their past selves. It's the same concept.
Do you understand now? They couldn't undo Flurry plotting against them or fucking with their minds, because that already happened and they couldn't change the past, but they could recontextualize the past to save them in the future.

Yes, I do understand. And while yes, I was clueless about it before. You didn't have to treat me like I haven't seen Harry Potter or Rick and Morty. I already know the examples, and they are good choices to explain this rather convoluted time looping plan.
So it looks like it was all a bootstrap paradox all along
This is just confusing enough that I have to say it “I am alpharius”
