This is a Fallout: Equestria and Harry Potter Crossover, inspired by Harry Potter and the Crystal Empire for those curious.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What if, in the battle against Quirrel, Harry accidentally smashed the Philosopher's Stone on the man's head? What if this transported the entire school, along with all of the lands belonging to it, into the Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland of Equestria?
And what if all of the students, teachers and Ghosts got ponified in the process? Well, Harry has some other problems to boot, like figuring out what to do in this new world, and managing as both a Alicorn, a female at that, and one of six no less, as well as trying to keep the school and his friends safe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, we're above 100k in length, I'm pretty proud now :D
Average chapter length so far is 4934.9545454545 as of chapter 22

there are magical weapons though. It's like weaponizing incendio or bombarda and shooting it out of the barrel with a magic battery

interesting fanfic since Fallout Equestria Conquistadores I have not seen such an interesting premise this story as I said separates Fallout Equestria Conquistadores a lot where not only one or two characters were raged to the equestrian wasteland but an entire land in this case was Hogwarts School of Magic and Sorcery with the castle in the forest and the surrounding areas of the land with all the typical flora and fauna of Hogwarts such as acromantulas, unicorns and centaurs, etc. without forgetting the different magic wands and defecations such as shields and magical protection runes that keep away the deadly radiation magica and the other environmental dangers of the equestrian wasteland such as raiders, slavers or worse The Grand Pegasus Enclave who will not be so happy to know that there is a faction capable of opposing The Grand Pegasus Enclave to have a great variety of ponies especially of the three pony, pegasus, unicorn and Earth pony breeds have a staff trained in the definition that magic to have war veterans and the world's equivalent of the star swirl the bearded both in power and knowledge and that he once again has his youth restored along with all the staff and that the ghosts who served the meat with all their magical knowledge and experience without forgetting the great variety of magical knowledge and resources that the school possesses and from what we saw it cost us relatively nothing to adapt to the new situation, as indicated in the story, we can say that they are a mini power in this new both military and economic world if Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were to fight against The Grand Pegasus Enclave in support of a future conflict with this fanfion or other types of enemies, the school would give a great and harsh reciting with any ostile fanfion and surely given the great variety of resources that you have at your disposal such as mafic potions, fresh food and not magically irradiated would generate a great source of resources for you. apas their coffers that will allow them to obtain resources such as weapons, magic books, pre-war technology and allies that arise through the negotiation and actions of the golden trio in the equestrian wasteland

Alicorns are basically FEV virus mutants in the Fallout Equestria, it makes sense for Hagrid and maybe nobody else

To quickly answer this, why does it matter? The Alicorn conversion doesn't relate to the IMP created Artificial Alicorns, the six are, in biology and magic, full on Alicorns, not Artificial Alicorns but Alicorns along the lines of Celestia, Luna, Twilight, Cadence, or for a more age approximate example, Flurry Heart.
They're more proper Alicorns than the natural born Alicorn offspring that are in the 10 Years Later afterword of FO:E, even though they were made into those by magic instead of being born as them as far as anyone knows, that is still closer to what happened to Twilight in the later seasons when she got ascended to Alicornhood.

11274345
Maybe because ponies never knew how to create them, something like 'rewriting Starswirl spell' or 'saving the whole village from the evil witch' never happened. Or I guess, 'find Grogar's bell and learn how to use it', that would work too.

you know this story is increasingly interesting as it predicts the hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry became a mini magical and military power in this new world, a regret that the wizards of the world of harry potter would be at a disadvantage before the Technomagic superperiod of the world of fallout equestria but nothing could be further from the truth because although the world of harry potter is not as overwhelmed by technology as the equestria watchers, the wizards of the magical world of harry potter adapted to live with less technology but more time In magical inventions that sumptuple the technology such as the different incantations and runes, in addition to a greater research in the area of practical and versatile spells than only Basque spells such as levitation, light spells, magic bubbles, etc. In addition, magicians have dedicated schools. to magic as the unicorns have to make do with picking up magic books from the trash or ruins spells as simple as c walk in the clouds sells for high prices in the wastelands

One thing I like about this story is the management of humor and comedy, despite the fact that our protagonists are in a difficult situation, they take it very calmly, even with humor, not only the characters in this story feel organic in this new situation Despite the fact that they were torn from their world and transformed in terms of age, gender and species, the majority are not complaining about this new reality, they even embrace it, as is the case of the caretaker Argus Filch who in his old life had felt angry for being a Squib and not being able to use magic to being transformed into a filly and finally being able to use magic

By now in her current state she had become a changed filly she names herself Argent Ambition

After that was a blue, last thing I remembered was grabbing something big and hard and smashing it into Quirrel’s skull while he was choking me and it breaking and…

blur

Thanks for informing me on the mistake, have corrected it now.

I’m absolutely loving this story and looking forward to more:pinkiehappy:

Why did you turn Harry into a female alicorn?

speaking of weapons: here's my favourite:
Take a standard rifle. Load the standard clip into place except it has a cap to keep the ammunition in the clip. When you pull the trigger, as the trigger releases the hammer, it also triggers a duplication spell which takes the top bullet in the clip and duplicates it into the firing chamber. Doesn't have to be a powerful duplicate spell, just one that lasts two seconds. At 1,500 fps, if you can see it, you can hit it before the bullet disappears. Remove the spur that changes the rifle to automatic, and you can shoot 15-17 shots per second.

For a completely magical rifle, the bullet is duplicated as before. When the hammer gets to the bullet, it triggers a spell to expel the bullet at 1,500 fps. As the bullet travels down the barrel, a third spell adds an explosion spell to the bullet so that when it hits something it explodes.

All the fun of a machine gun, none of the weight of ammunition.

Very nice summary at the start!

11279337
What do you mean magical rifle bullets? They are using gems to punch spells. Lasers shoot ignition spells, plasma guns shoot dragon fire. Lightning gun uses lightning spells, etc. There is no such thing as Equestrian version of the coil gun

11279786
Coil Gun? What on Earth are you talking about? In canon, in FOE, they are using bullets. Actual, metal, bullets, to attack others. From chapter 14 "Question, what is faster? A bullet, or a Stunner?" "Believe me, the Minigun I showed you is almost the same as it’s counterpart on Earth." Then Chapter 13: "moments later the 10mm pistol I kept on me" From Chapter 11: "Draco was also wielding a set of weapons in a Battle Saddle, namely a .50 caliber Minigun on her left" "Then a gunshot was heard." (notice, not a magical discharge, laser discharge, or anything else, a gunshot.) Chapter 8: "She had 14 of these things, 12 shotguns, 14 Sub-Machine-Guns, 3 high-caliber sniper rifles, and some sort of handmade energy weapon."

And, as I said, you could easily enchant the rifle so that as the bullet goes down the barrel, a spell to A, explode, B. deliver a bleeding curse, C. stun, or D. any other nasty thing you want, is attached to the bullet and set to go off when the bullet hits anything. These could make every shot a one-shot-takedown. Hit the guys leg, blows the leg completely off. Or hit the hand and the guy is stunned and out for at least an hour. And so forth.

11281218
You know, like a Gauss rifle, they're coilguns that use 2 mm EC (electromagnetic cartridge) round in the games. If you don't know what the energy guns are in Fallout games, then nevermind, I am sorry for bothering you.

11281252
I'm interjecting here as I'm a bit confused on the problem. @tkepner was suggesting to apply enchantments to a weapon in various ways, as far as I can tell.
This has nothing to do with pre-existing energy weapons, though it is basically making a coil gun out of normal guns by applying an array of accelerating enchantments. However, it is in this case applied on a kinetic weapon, specifically. Modifying kinetic guns in other words.
His ideas have, so far, quite a bit of merit since it does deal with ideas that would be possible within the specific canon of my story, enchantment heavy as it is. At best Spark Batteries would be powering the enchantment arrays, they wouldn't be the ammunition though.

~~~~~~~~~~~O~~~~~~~~~~~ 2nd Person POV – Albus Dumbledore ~~~~~~~~~~~O~~~~~~~~~~~
Should be 3th person, not second
11283257
I thought that the "KIll the Basilisk" trope was trotted to death by now, besides we don't know the exact circumstances of Slytherin's hatred of Muggle-born or how severe that dislike was in the first place.
For all we know it was justified distrust for the time, not sure how far Christianity would've spread in Brittain at the time, but knowing the kind of organization the Vatican had been historically, I wouldn't be surprised if the wizards had to cover up a sort of Crusade or two which were against wizarding communities and learning institutions.
You know, I really like your story, a fascinating fanfic, especially when it comes to humor, even though it's not indicated, it's well thought out and it's organic, even hilarious, the whole issue of gender or species change , like most of the characters, they are taken in a way These changes were even positive, even some changes such as rejuvenation do not seem to work against him in a detrimental way, not quite the opposite, the weights that went up in old age were the more benefited in this new world where their old bodies had played against them more than a problem the new condition is at worst a minor difficulty like using wandless magic or changing hands to helmets or the different environment of a world in relative peace a post -Apocalyptic world, a literal wasteland where you have to learn how to use muggle weapons or have to understand the concept of magical radiation,
11283435
one wonders what the professors and other staff at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are like. zardry has the answer. It's easy, teachers are veterans of 1 or 2 wizarding wars, as is the case with Headmaster Dumbledore or Professor Minerva McGonagall, or at least what the Fantastic Beasts, Dumbledore's Secrets canon says. The thing is, this story fascinates me so much every time. I read a new chapter I wonder how long it will be until the next chapter
11283810
Glad you like it :D
11283435
11283436
I'm glad you like it so far. I try filling in any gaps I can think of in terms of lore about the school itself, as you may notice from my use of fanon regarding Ancient Runes and Arithmancy in more practical terms than just reading a dead language and probability calculations with a touch of magic, or whatever Arithmancy is supposed to be in canon.
And regarding humor, I try not to focus on it but as I told a friend on fanfiction dot net, if you can't include a bit of humor and references in your story, then what are you doing?
I try keeping my story, on the sliding scale of crack to Grim Derp, with Crack being that one Naruto Zelda crossover with Naruto characters replacing all the Zelda characters in Ocarina of Time, and Grimderp being Project Horizons but with the Chaos Gods of 40k invading, somewhere in the happy middle, I take it serious, but try to offset the sheer depression of the situation with funny moments.
As you may recall, I don't treat a child killing people as if that child was just a game protagonist, Rose has nightmares for weeks after her first kill and needed Lyra and Bon-Bon to get through it, and later also Luna.
She can function in a fight, but she is a child. She can fight under adrenaline and, you may notice, she has a bit of a trigger when she sees others in danger, aka a Hero Complex, but when the adrenaline fades she basically collapses in on herself, though she starts getting better at working through it, as we saw on the way to the MWT factory.
And yes, I am kind of proud that I can say I managed to do so well so far.
Miniguns in Fallout are probably based on Vietnam era gunship helicopter 7.62 mm M 134 miniguns. .50 is a lot heavier and the gun has 3 rotating barrels. That thing is used as a main helicopter gun.
Technically speaking several different versions of the minigun exist chambered in .223, .357, .44, 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, 2mm EC, 5mm, 4.7mm, and 10 mm.
11284163
I'm basing it on what is used with the Fallout Miniguns, which is the same ammo type used for Anti-Material Rifles which, as I remember it, use .50 caliber or something, I'm not 100% certain what that means since I'm not from the United States of Guns.
This is really good lokking forward to more
if the equestrian ghoul becomes insane then yeah sure those are zombies. People/ponies need to kill those things to survive.
11289054
Because I had an idea and it's been going well.
11289128
Well, yeah. When did someone say it didn't?
11289143
Thanks :D
11289327
so the scp foundation idiots stick their noses into this new world
11289892
Kind of, as you can see in the chapter they have somewhat an hands-off approach due to the Wizards basically having enacted their own containment procedures and also containing untold millions of anomalous entities and items, meaning the Foundation has no need to assign more than a few smaller-scale MTF units there.
Naturally that also means that issues like Voldemort are bigger issues but as long as it gets handled they're happy to keep to administering Amnestics where Aurors fail to locate withnesses.
Naturally the Equestrian Wasteland is a whole other can of worms, but you can't get much more contained than "Another World Behind a MIrror protected by Hogwarts and a couple hundred heavily armed ponies with magic" now can you?
Also, I'm being nice and not letting Doctor Bright near the MACUSA, otherwise they'll have to add a few more entries to the "Things Doctor Bright is not allowed to do" list.
Quick note,
Always us single-quotes inside double-quotes. For example
“Listen, I have somewhat doubts he would do anything, he helped with the Enclave situation back then but the same I can’t say for most of the other “We were under Imperius” masters of the same spell.”
it confusing. When they hit the second quote, they think the sentence is over when it isn't. It should be:
“Listen, I have somewhat doubts he would do anything, he helped with the Enclave situation back then but the same I can’t say for most of the other 'We were under Imperius' masters of the same spell.”
Two things: First, you use single-quotes inside double-quotes, otherwise readers get confused.
“Listen, I have somewhat doubts he would do anything, he helped with the Enclave situation back then but the same I can’t say for most of the other “We were under Imperius” masters of the same spell.”
Should be:
“Listen, I have somewhat doubts he would do anything, he helped with the Enclave situation back then but the same I can’t say for most of the other 'We were under Imperius' masters of the same spell.”
Second, Why are saddlebags considered bags of holding? Is it a common assumption that ALL saddlebags must be bags of holding? This makes no sense:
“Alright, so… why do you have in your saddlebags then? I mean, you’re the only one carrying those under your robes.” Asked Fred and that surprised Rainy quite a bit as her mom’s eyes widened at hearing her child was carrying a bag of holding.
She didn’t know there were two.
If anyone wonders why they’re not cracking down on the wizards,
Because the Wizards predate them by several thousand years? And could easily curb-stomp them when they first ran into the wizards?
11290585
First, it's my writing style, I use " as quotation marks as well as for speech. No I won't go back and edit it all, sorry if it bothers you but it doesn't seem to bother anyone else.
Secondly, it's been over a month at least since contact was reestablished at that point, I don't think it's necessary to point out how she would know this much about equipment that is common in the Wasteland, not to mention that expanded versions of small bags shouldn't be that rare a sight in the Wizarding World.
11290606
Regarding the Foundation *starts laughing*
Buddy, I know you may not agree with this, but the magical population of Europe is, at best, in the low tens of thousands, the number of people who can do the kind of shit I depicted Dumbles and Flitwick doing is numbered, at most, in the dozens all over Britain, and most of the population consists of very squishy targets.
One of the major reasons for using wands in Equestria is the fact that casting a spell, for most people, involves talking a relatively long incantation, waving the wand in a specific pattern, then pointing it at the target, followed by the fairly slow bolt of magic shooting out.
Guns are faster not just in how their projectiles fly, but also in their use. It's point and pull the trigger, end of story. And the Foundation has anomalously enhanced MTF units and the best soldiers around. The reason they seem like scrubs in most stories is that they're going up against 682, 049 or worse things than either of those two.
The reason the Foundation isn't kicking magical doors down, as stated, is that they're so wide spread that tracking them all down, subduing or killing them, and then trying to contain all of the magical creatures they're keeping under control, would be wasting resources, time and money. And while the ICW would fall eventually, it would cost too much and bring in way too many problems that are already resolved and would just get worse from it.
This isn't a case of "Foundation is Powerless", this is a case of "Foundation has more than two quarters of a brain cell to rub together".
11290628
First, your decision to use quotes the way you do might be your "style" but it certainly isn't the normal way they are taught in school. If you like confusing readers, go ahead. Plus, I don't expect you to go back and change what you've written and posted, it was merely for future writing since it appeared you didn't know how to use quotes properly.
As for the bags, given how in canon, Hermonie's expanded purse was considered unusual, expanded purses are not an everyday item. Plus, if they were so common, every student in Hogwarts would have had all their books in their pockets and not bothered with carrying them in unwieldy rucksacks. I just found Molly's assumption to be jarring.
I think you misunderstood my Foundation remark. First, Wizards HAVE been here longer than the Foundation, so it is very true that when the Foundation started, the wizards could curb-stomp them. As a result, they came to an accommodation. This would have had to be after the Wizards went into hiding in the 1600s, naturally. Once set, it is easier to maintain an accommodation than try to change it. Plus, suddenly changing it and going to attack the Wizards, as one secret group against the other, would only backfire. It also leaves the problem of magical children accidentally revealing magic to the world. All you would need would be a few televised incidents of a child doing something at a ball game or something, and then even the SCP would be unable to put the genie back in the bottle.
Regarding people complaining? I have found that many people, rather than complain, will simply stop reading, instead. Just look at your chapter statistics. It is always a gradual decline in Viewers Per Chapter (for several reasons that are both mundane and/or surprising), but sudden drops in that slope appear when things happen in a chapter that confuse or upset the readers. Grammar issues or things that don't match canon for any perceivable reason are big one.
Consider all the complaints about your changing of the genders of various characters. Personally, I write that off to "magic being magic." I'm sure you had a good reason for it-- even if it was "because I want to."
Making expanded bags so common that everyone takes them for granted? That grates.
As i said, good luck with the story, it is very entertaining.
Am I completely insane or did this story disappear for like two weeks?
11313227
Yeah, no idea what happened there, I logged on one day and it was removed for some reason.
I am currently taking a bit of a break from writing the story for other ideas by the way, but I will be continuing it just in case anyone is worried.
