While doing a little early Spring Cleaning (or possibly some very belated Spring Cleaning from last year), Octavia unearths part of Vinyl Scratch's comic book collection. But when she amuses herself during a break by reading one of the books, will she realize that some things are better left undisturbed? Will what she finds within reveal some of the puckish DJ's darkest secrets and tear to pieces the two musicians' nascent love?
Well, no. Not quite. Not at all, in fact... But it will give Octavia a pretty weird dream.

Author's Note: I came up with this silly idea when I saw that surge of "Octavia as small pony-octopus" pictures in November 2011. I hope you guys find the idea as amusing as I do. Oh, and I didn't tag this as a crossover or alternate universe because one, it's a dream and two, I would say it's more of a fusion...

Doctor Octave. Hmmm. It works, but I do like Doctor Octaviapuss as Gapaot said above. Still that was an interesting story. Octavia and Vinyl are always an interesting duo, what with the contrasts between their music, so seeing them in the light of a more comic book villain and hero was pretty interesting. I actually didn't see the similarities between Vinyl and Cyclops until I read this. Heh. Vyclops. I love seeing other franchises look like once ponified. And yes, I came here and read this after your naming blog so I could give better advice. Glad I did, that was a fun read.
This is one of my all time favorite OctaScratch fics. I love the way you portray them, and the little bonus story of Dr. Octave and Vyclopz is great. It would be interesting to read more of the rivalry of those two, just something to mull over.

You know if you want more Octavia & Vinyl super-powered shenanigans, I have more here. It starts out the same as the story above, but goes in a different direction (more backstory; actual alternate universe rather than being a dream; and at the moment, really depressing origin stories lol). Also it's a comic rather than just a written story.
