This is surprisingly nice. An equal amount of funny moments and heart warming moments.
Minty is my neighbour... far too many tacky decorations and has had a light hanging ‘incident’ three of the last four years... and the only year without a light incident was because his brother and I did the lights for his family that year as he was already on crutches in December.
This is a nice blend of Minty Christmas and G4.

it always seems like hanging up Christmas lights on the roof has the potential to quickly turn into a hazardous ordeal doesn't it? A nice slice of life story where Cozy is not a antagonist, but still has a measurable personality. I loved her bewildered reaction to this, it was thoroughly entertaining.
How lights get so horribly tangled just sitting there is one of the mysteries of the universe. Cute story.

It is OK to laugh. He has come to terms with the fact that he is an ambulatory disaster area at the best of times and that Christmas lights and roofs seem to bring out the worst of it.
After his trouble this year he has agreed to surrender the lighting job to his brother and eldest son from next year and to just concentrate on the lawn

It's just one of my many quirks. I disable ratings on almost all of my stories (including those that had the ratings enabled when the story went live). I think 16 is the only one of my stories with the ratings currently enabled, since it's still ongoing.
