A soarinfire fic in 2019? Hell yes. I've thoroughly enjoyed your other soarinfire story, so pretty sure this one wouldn't disappoint.

This is a sweet, short midlife coming-of-age story. Your portrayal of Spitfire and Soarin's relationship sits pretty close to my headcannon---the years they've had together makes them more than just buckbuddies but falls a tad short of a proper romantic relationship. Neither are the talkative type, but Soarin's caring personality compliments Spitfire's abrasive one well. Not the most romantic relationship but one that will last.

One of my favourite soarinfire stories, The Other Side of the Coin by Grimm is set in a similarly gloomy tone. Spitfire being sexually frustrated after countless partners and Soarin seeking revenge after Spitfire abandoned him as a one-night-lay. ~~Bitter-sweet revenge sex~~ Emotions ensue. From there, the action itself takes a backseat and sex is reduced to nothing more than a tool to reveal their inner thoughts. Definitely give it a read if you like Soarinfire. Hands-down one of the most examplary Soarinfire fics on this site. Beautifully interwoven.
