QUERY: WHY DO YOU NOT USE THE HOLY LINGUA-TECHNIS FOR YOUR COMMUNICATIONS, FELLOW ADEPT?

It may have been a little late, but it is a great chapter.

Well done and I for one am looking forward to more.

I always thought that a mostly agricultural country would go for a cheap way to get alcohol, and thus would go for the grain variety. A fault on my part, but that is what is meant. Grain alcohol used for medicinal purposes.

Your absolutely right, and before the 1920's in the US, medical alcohol was grain Alcohol. Then the prohibition laws were passed banning the sale of all booze, beer, wine, etc. When that happened Alcohols sold in pharmacies became rubbing alcohol, specifically because it was poisonous and there for couldn't be used to skirt the law. That really was a screwed up time in the US. Bars and pubs became like underground casinos and gay bars. Hidden away, members only places hidden behind fake book cases, false fire places, etc. This is where the tiny sliding window in doors meme came from. So the Mafia bouncer/doorman could see if you were a cop or not. If you were, he would hit the panic button and the patrons would be shoved out the back door.

True US history.

Sadly a lot of what happened in that time period 1900-1950 was removed from the history books. You would think that the US government poisoning thousands of booze barrels meant for illegal bars would be news, or the "Spanish Influenza Virus" that Wiped out 1/4 to 1/3 of the US population would make the history books. Strange that neither item is anywhere to be found in high school/university history classes. (Google Spanish Influenza America or USA, There are some good documentaries on it)

I have no idea. I work about 12 hours a day, while the rest is spent driving, cooking, eating and sleeping. And in this 8 month hiatus, I kinda forgot where I was going with this. So we'll see

No, it’s just that I’ve had so much mandatory overtime thanks to Covid (6 out of 7 days having 12 hour shifts) that I haven’t had many chances to sit down and work on it. I still intend to finish this story
