The worst thing about this is I can see Faust watching with Gendo Ikari's glasses going, "Just as planned." Just so happend Ari meets two nearly extinct species who happend to be related to his current form. Just so happens Ariel was a female human, unfamiliar with male hormones and insticts... come on.
And now Ari is falling into the same mentality that created the problem in the first place, "must protect what is mine at all costs." Now we must see, how does he find balance between reason and instinct. So looking forward to next chapter.
Next time on Dragonball Z
Bravo. Another excellent chapter and I can't wait for the next one.
Can't wait for the next chapter to come out.
Now's the time for the sweet expees.

expees?

XP, or experience points.
Oh hey, a hydra battle, just like the last story I mentioned
Is this an important plot point, or do they seriously wander in the middle of nowhere killing the local wildlife with the shittiest excuse ever?

It will come back to bite them, so to speak. The whole event also helps develop the characters a little.
There not this hope that helped

Thank you, edited that part now.
He tied its necks into a knot and suffocated it? Kinda' hard to tell what he actually did because he never actually notes the result of his actions, other than saying the hydra collapsed and died.
It still amazes me how poorly thought out their 'big plan' actually is. At this point I'd start to suspect that all three have some sort of brain damage. There is literally ZERO reason why any part of it would work out even halfway beneficially to them:
Head for Zebrenica: It's a whole different continent, you're the most inconspicuous people around (and biggest headline right now).
Get an airship: No funds, not trained to pilot one. And more importantly: Why would this be helpful to have!?
Invent an alicorn-level magic blocker: Bitch, please. There's nothing to even hint that this is possible. And if it was, how is a complete amateur at magic going to accomplish it (and get the resources to pull it off)?
Kidnap the princesses: Just going to waltz over two (or more) of the most powerful beings on the planet; not to mention the entire royal guard.
Show them the devastation: Your airship is going to stay unnoticed by the wonderbolts and the entire panicking population, how?
Convince them: Even if, IF everything up to this point works perfectly. There is still no visible causal link between the devastation and the use of their powers. It's fine and dandy to claim that, but I severely doubt the princesses are just going to throw away 2000 years of tradition and turn their back on their personal destinies (cutie-mark) on some alien's word. An alien that didn't even come up with it himself, but was just told it was true by an extremely unreliable source. Not to mention the fact that this alien is actively working with two of their old enemies. And meanwhile Equestria fall into panic and anarchy because their heads of state were just carried off.
This whole thing feels like the story was written with a particular final scene in mind and we're just trying to come up with reasons for that scene to come about, completely ignoring the fact that approaching the problem like this would be suicidal at best.
But we saw one get launched when Rarity was in Canterlot.
But Lyric can become invisible, this has already been established.
That isn't how falling works...
Also, this hydra is only like... 23 feet tall going off Ari's narration. So that means if he was weaving between the necks. He was only like 6 to 14 feet off that ground at most.
Fuck.
*Comes from a world where herds never existed.*
Ari: I dont like this planet.
*Only on the planet for like a week.*
Ari: This is fine.
