... I'm almost hoping that the sound of his magic is the trololo song.
https://m.See, this is why you lock the door when you're torturing people.
Today's world exposition: More rage fuel for Ari
Our wayward guard finally catches up but in the most awkward of circumstances, no alicorn, enemy species of his country and a zebrican mare roasting on a pony sized skillet.
Till next time
So this chapter helped answer some questions that I had. It is as I thought. The princesses are ignorant to what is going on around them because they choose to sit on their asses and not leave their country. Sure they explored a bit and established foreign relations, but they didnt try to maintain said relations. Shitty diplomacy if you ask me. And then when they hear that what they are doing may be causing property damage, injury, and loss of life what do they say?
“Surely he must be mistaken?” And then go about their day...very shitty rulers. Ari has his work cut out for him.
well we have a slightly chard zebra hanging over a open fire pit and in comes a Thestral yep there is nutting that can go wrong hear.
i love a good cliffhanger and boy this is a dose.
I feel like I’m watching Dragon Ball Z again with the 26 episode fights. I’m happy it’s updated more than once a week, otherwise, I’d be ripping my hair out

My apologies for the cliffhanger, I didn't want to go too far over the five thousand word count, from the reader count less people like reading long chapters. However the next chapter is very action packed Stay tuned...

Yup, this was one of the harder ones for me to end, my apologies for the cliffhanger. Hope you enjoy the next chapter!

I figured that wouldn’t be a problem anymore since you can bookmark where you are in a story now. I guess I’m the exception since I live in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do after work’s done.

Perhaps, I'm similar. Also in the middle of nowhere, so I never bookmark anything, but good to know that some people won't mind the longer chapters.

I think there is more to it than Celestia and Luna sitting on their asses. Taken from tye story and from the show Equestria is a paradise, protected from the chaos that exists beyond its borders. We know from the show tyat Equestrians left their homland when the winters became unbareable. Be it from malevolent spirits or the ponies first atempts at playing god we know they migrated from elsewhere. Also Luna's dream magic doesnt extend beyond the borders of Equestria. This sugesting that the land is protected by something. Whatever it is the Ponies view of the world is one that only looks on itself. Why look out at the world where everything is bad. We are safe here, protected by the land and the force of our harmony. It is a way of thinking of survivor's. Small comunities that has made it through a catastrophe usually adopt such princapals. The only problem is in a thousand years nothing has changed. The world outside is still rife with chaos, the protection of Equestria doesnt extend past its borders and the balance of the world rests in the hooves of Ponies that dont understand any of this.
Ari blames them for being cold, but he is baseing his logic on human understanding. Consepts that dont yet exists in the world. Its like an environmentalists getting up in arms at farmers in the 5th century for deforesting their land to plant crops. It be silly to berate them for only wanting to put food on the table for their families.

Ah yeah good point. It is as you said, Ari is looking at this with a human perspective. And humans have a natural desire to want to at least try to explore the unknown. But you would think the princesses would at least try to maintain diplomatic relations with other countries. It would be good to have an ally in case an enemy country that could pose a significant threat were to desire to take over equestria. I guess it’s just me feeling that they are too closed minded.

Durring that time Celestia was ruling alone. Her prime responsibly is her own people. There might have been some indications of a problems brewing but you have to keep in mind things were diffrent 1000 years ago. Countries dont deal with the populace at large, they deal with representatives form a place. Especially if that place is far away. And Ponies are xenophobic, better to deal with shady ponies than strange and unfamiliar zebra.
Also what business does Equestria have with how rulers of other nations run their countries. Usually such meddling is done for the gains of your own nation. Be it to support a pro western ideology or prevent a war that could affect you. Since Celestia was more concerned with her nation I think we can forgive her for not trying to rule the world from the shadows.

I guess it’s just me then. I don’t look too deeply into stuff like that in relation to the show or some of the characters really. I guess that’s why I see it on just the surface when it comes to some MLP related things.

Well thats fine too, my analysis may be wrong. But in this story the Princesses arn't portrayed as dystopian overlords so at the very least we know they arnt doing things on purpous. Their neglect of things beyond their borders is mostlikely due to ignorance. At the worst Celestia may be aware, but unable or unwilling to put her ponies in danger to fix it.
But your point is valid, so far well have to see how the story unfolds.

Yeah ignorance sounds like the most likely reason. Hopefully we get an answer soon. The story just got pretty good with the latest cliffhanger.
FUuuuuuuUUUUCCCCKK!! sorry about that, just got caught up in an epic reading binge.... This story is amazing, and i cant wait for more!!!!

I wonder if the reason Celestia's ignorant of the Zebra's plight, will take on the usual tropes of other stories, that ever since Celestia banished Luna the following years left her vulnerable and overwhelmed with rulership, resulting in bestowing nobles more power and supervising roles, ie: future affairs with that Zebra country after she ignored it.
From that point on, generations of nobles and corporations under their wings, have exploited a people who're afraid that complaints would bring the terrifying sun goddess' wrath. With that, a repeat of the African slave trade had been recreated in magic horse land. It's hilariously sad, I wonder what the Princesses would feel/do, learning that they're unintentionally involved in slave trade

That’s possible. I’ve considered that myself.
I'm curious to see when Ari learns the other half of the story concerning the princesses. It just seems like everything he learns about them is skewed in someway and he ends up judging them too harshly without knowing all the facts. It also seems like everything goes back to being the princesses fault in some way or another. It'll be interesting to see when Ari finds out that the princesses are normal and just as fallible as everyone else, despite doing their best.
Ello! *crazy stallion smile*
I'm liking it...
