Wow! This was certainly something. Despite it being sad, it was enjoyable to read. You did a good job on this, mate! It's kind of hard to delay the inevitable because sooner or later Spike will have to leave his friends one day. Furthermore, this was an interesting story filled with sadness, but also happiness as the memories between Twilight and Spike were presented. (That part got me the most). Awesome work!

I especially love the goodbye speeches, so much so that I can't pick a favorite. Love seeing Celestia go Momlestia on Spike. And poor, poor Twilight.

This was a nice little read, though I felt like Spike didn't seem to have much say in the decision. He mostly looks to Twilight and goes along with what she thinks is best. I would have expected at least some resistance, as seen in how he shows a brief moment of indignance when he thinks Twilight is sending him away:
Granted, if his biological parents ever did show up and he had to make a decision of who to stay with (and they weren't planning on relocating to somewhere nearby Ponyville for his benefit) it's a very different situation compared to whatever he saw in that dark dreamstate. I think it would utterly destroy him to have to choose – especially if it was the case that his egg was taken from them and they had been looking for him all this time.
In any case, Twilight and Spike would be lost without one another since they seem to be each other's better halves at specific times. I suppose it would happen one day, depending on with one of them has the longer lifespan.
Dang it! Man, now I'm sad. Great story though.

And then an alterante timeline of this story twilgiht becomes a yandere and snaps and wants spike back she find a way to get spike back even if she has to kill. Don't take this seiouly I just said that cause I just believe Twilight Sparkle would not be able to live without spike that she just loses her mind and wants to get spike back.

Good story, but in all honesty
i think it comes across as way sadder then it really should... i mean yes Spike is leaving, but the Dragon Lands aren't that difficult to go to.
I mean we've seen Twilight, Rarity, and Spike all go there, with it taking no large amount of time.
So it's not like they'll never get an opportunity to see Spike again.
But great story none the less💚

Twi, you and pretty much everypony else can still visit him in the Dragon Lands, and vice versa in Ponyville. He's not dying or getting banished, he's just moving away like you did with Celestia
I feel like these types of stories forget to include Starlight and Discord since they´re his friends too, but I see why they weren´t included. Great job on the story.

I’m surprised Starlight wasn’t around, but then again I guess you wanted to focus on the Mane 6. Although this does seem sadder than it should be. Twilight can always visit Spike, even if he’s far away, it doesn’t mean he’s truly gone.
