Not that I had made any particular effort to HIDE that he is totally not the traitor. Y'know. While I'm writing a response, think about it, why didn't Dash get intercepted during her second mission?
A brief comment on Emnas, first, Vidic says it to you in one of the Revelations Multiplayer cutscenes, which is where I got it from (Shameless person that has never beat AC2 that I am). Second, if you've played Kingdom Hearts, you'll notice that he uses quotes from Ansem. I was trying to find a good acronym for literally 2 days straight until I settled with this. I suppose that, in Equestria, Names would have worked. Only recently I've noticed what a clever pun I've missed out on. It'd have gone something like: 'His name was long, hard to remember, and definitely not cool. Something like Names' Acronyms. Whoever would name a foal that. Since the first day, Dash had just been calling him Names, so that stuck.'. With the pun being on that 'calling somepony names' is just one capitalisation away and has a different, but also possibly fitting meaning. Oh, how clever that would have been.
I just realised I really screwed up with the continuity. Fortunately, I have a handy parallel dimension ready where I'm now moving this. The reason behind it is that Glimmer should really already be dead at this point in time. So she, instead of getting hit by lightning while foalsitting Twilight at Canterlot, simply moved to Ponyville sometime to be a more efficient mentor, THEN got struck by lightning not much after the events of this story.
The main plot has also happened in the Midnight universe, aka Emnas became Rainbow's first target and she is feeling really guilty after placing a feather on Scootaloo's parents' heads (Which I'll emphasise in Strength, Chapter 2), but you can't lynch me for details.
I could rewrite the characters and all to fit in, but that'd be quite a bit of work.
