Original Usermane

I prefer to go by 'Riggy'. I love MLP with a passion, and I sincerely hope that I can become a real part of this fandom! I'm planning to go to Everfree in May (It'll be my first con! So excited!).

Rarity's wearing sequins again, and Rainbow's not happy about it. But when one of Rainbow's comments leads the rest of the Mane Six to suspect she's hiding something, they go on an epic quest for the truth, and end up uncovering one of Ponyville's biggest secrets. And, considering Pinkie is in on it and was never put under a Pinkie Promise to keep it, it's kind of a miracle it took them this long to find out.

Big thanks to OriDragon for editing!

that explanes a lot

Hm... :trixieshiftleft:

Hmmmmm... :trixieshiftright:

What the hay, works for me. :scootangel:

It explains so much

I thought it was her "Coming Out".

“Hay!” Applejack snapped. “Honesty’s my department!”

The other three mares gave pointed looks that clearly were meant to bring up memories of the cherry orchard incident, the second Flim and Flam incident, and several other instances where AJ hadn’t quite lived up to her element.

And I didn't need to say anything.:trollestia:

Before any of them had the chance to blink, Pinkie Pie was standing in front of them with a smug look on her face, a huge butterfly net over her shoulder and a confused and disoriented Rainbow Dash trapped in its restricting depths.

United Pinkie Service. When a pony absolutely has to be found and returned.:rainbowhuh:

“TELL US YOUR SECRET OR I WILL SHOVE YOU INTO A DRESS SO POOFY PINKIE’S MANE WOULD WILT IN SHAME!” Rarity shrieked.

This is our Element of Generosity folks.:unsuresweetie:

Well, that explains why I always screw up his her his pronouns. I'm actually right, I just didn't know it. :derpytongue2:

Um...wow. I wasn't expecting that all. Well played dear author. Well. Played. :moustache:

. . .

i heard in the ... what was it "spanish" dub that rainbow is a guy. i wonder if it like that anywhere else?

7179645 I actually got the idea because emy younger brother is ALWAYS calling Rainbow 'he', no matter how many times we correct him. :rainbowdetermined2:

...What?:rainbowderp:
What?!:derpyderp2:
WHAT?!:applejackconfused:
WHAT?!:pinkiegasp:
ERROR: skye.exe has shut down

"Rainbow Dash, you're still not a liar. :ajbemused: You couldn't lie if your kin were tied to the tracks on a bridge over a ragin' river."
"Seriously, AJ? I've been a stallion all this time! That's a lot of lying! Like, a lot of lying!" :rainbowhuh:
"And how often have you told any of us that you weren't a stallion?" :ajsmug:
:rainbowderp:

"You know, even if I picked the wrong elements, we'd still have beaten Nightmare Moon. Nothing said I had to pick the right elements, just bring them together." :twilightblush:

The other three mares gave pointed looks that clearly were meant to bring up memories of the cherry orchard incident, the second Flim and Flam incident, and several other instances where AJ hadn’t quite lived up to her element.

Yes, several other instances such as... and... uh...

...look, I know this isn't supposed to be taken seriously and you had a whole disclaimer right at the start about how this isn't supposed to be taken seriously but boy oh boy I never do get tired of people harping on how AJ failed to live up to her Element twice, one of those being in the season where everyone failed their Element and that was the entire point of the arc, while also by the way forgetting all the times Rarity has been greedy, Fluttershy has prioritized her own comfort over being kind, or Pinkie Pie hasn't been funny.

While I don't ship RainbowPie in any form, that ending was still EXTREMELY hilarious.

8069880 Haha, glad you enjoyed it! To be completely honest, I don't ship it either, but when the plot bunnies attack, my strategy is to surrender to their tyranny and hope for as few casualties as possible during the takeover process. :derpytongue2:

8069921 Makes as much sense as any other explanation.

"One can lie and lie and tell nothing but the truth."

Meh. Twist means it doesn't actually address the subject.

Uh... What in the name of fire trucks?!

Though funny, it may look a bit cringy... Unless we assume it to be literally what it's said to be... in which case... uh, yeah :facehoof:...

Also the story doesn't quite answer the question in the title... Unless we think about it more deeply... But then the explanation seems implausible. Granted, it's not serious, but... Come on!

Another thing -- the story is written in spirit of children tales :rainbowkiss:. Ah, we've been lacking the lightheartedness!.. Everyone (me included :twilightsheepish:) has to have deep and emotional stories raising serious topics :ajbemused:. O, where have the times gone to, when we were young and easily amazed!..
